Summary

In 1973 and in 2022, the United States found itself in the midst of outrage and protest on one side and joy and fanfare on the other. The difference between then and now: The emotions have switched sides. Those who found themselves angered after the verdict of Roe v. Wade now found themselves rejoicing after the verdict of Hobbs v. Jackson.

Our country is facing a difficult journey in the months and years ahead as the fallout of the overturning of Roe v. Wade comes into focus. We see protests involving pro-choice believers against pro-life believers. We see political maneuvers as the blue states scramble to hold on to the freedoms that they see being taken away while the red states scramble to close up any gaps that can be used to allow the act of abortion to take place within their borders.

Will the verdict of Hobbs v. Jackson lead us to a new understanding of the sanctity of human life from the point of conception? Or will it simply open the door for greater numbers of unsafe, back-alley coat-hanger abortions?

In order to know where we are going, it is first necessary to know where we've been. In this book, you will learn the history of abortion in America and the world and travel the road that brought us to where we are today.

What effect, if any, will the Hobbs v. Jackson dec

This book reviews the path that led to the current legal state of abortion in the United States and worldwide.

Those outraged by the Roe v. Wade decision are now celebrating the Hobbs v. Jackson ruling, and vice versa. However, as the consequences of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade become more evident, our country faces a challenging path in the months and years ahead. Pro-choice supporters and pro-life opponents have both staged protests.

What effect, if any, will the Hobbs v. Jackson decision have? That remains for us to see. However, this book gives the background to help us understand where we've been.

The way it stands now, a fetus has no rights, but if it did, the most important would be to have two parents (and a culture that supports the needs of all) who want to put in the love and work of nurturing it throughout its entire development. Sadly, the reversal of Roe does nothing to address that important point. The author attempts to remain neutral about a deeply controversial topic.

Gives Awareness!

The book gives awareness of what girls facing abortion go through. The thinking they share and what informs their thinking, but Abortion is still killing young lives that don't deserve it. Every human has a right to live, but abortion cuts it off and deprives the child of living. There is the complexity involved, and different people have their opinion, but the take I stand for is the counsel of God.
The book is easy to follow and clear. Many young people with pregnancy due to no fault of theirs or different and complicated complications make the subject complex, but a standstill has to be taken, and the book gives awareness to help take a stand.

A detailed look at a complex subject

this is a really complex subject with strong views on both sides. The book covers the history of abortion legislation in detail and looks at how the changing legal position has affected women, particularly those who are poor. Rcommended. the narrator stumbled a few times but otherwise fine.

Informative Read

The book does a great job of explaining the different arguments that each side has and why they feel the way they do. It also discusses the politics of pregnancy and how abortion plays into that. Overall, this is a well-rounded and informative book about a controversial topic. If you're interested in learning more about abortion and the politics surrounding it, I would recommend this book.

Excellent audiobook

This is one topic that's been so divisive in my family, but it's still important to try and get all sides and facts. This book does a fantastic job of both. Well-informed and clearly explained, I was interested throughout the book, and the narrator does a great job as well.
