Loved this book

Amy Snow is a delightful book. I love being immersed in the history and the propriety of women of this age. The use of english in this time is exquisite, I wish we could still communicate so eloquently. Loved the way that the book unfolded taking Amy on many adventures. I chose it because the Richard and Judy recommendations are generally correct, with this one winning the 2014 Search for a Bestseller award, I was not disappointed. I read other genres but feel the need to jump back to this era for some refinement now and again.

Enjoyable period drama

Good story and I was kept interested with mystery and romance. Interesting characters and Amy was neither dull or higher sophisticated. Slightly predictable but enjoyable and great performance

Superb

Stunningly good book. Gripping from the start. Narration is one of the best I've listened to. I finished this book so quickly as I just had to know 'what happens next'. I normally like factual or crime but this book has converted me. I will listen to it many times.

Wonderfully soporific!

If, like me, you often use audio books when you can't sleep, this is one for you. It's so obvious, turgid, contrived and fancy full while pro porting to be well researched and completely plausible (authors Q&A) that it bores you into sleep - while there being just enough intrigue to wait for the big reveal, the protagonists parentage. Don't bother.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed this story right to the end. It was quietly compulsive, with no murders, nevertheless I wanted the mystery solved.

Fabulous book.

I was hooked from the start.
This would make a wonderful film.
I wish we had heard more of what had become of Robin...
