Summary

After a violent home invasion in the remote wilds of Glen Coe leaves a family of four dead, DCI Jack Logan and his team are brought in to lead the manhunt.

But, when one of the victims is revealed to be one half of legendary 1980s Glasgow-based comedy double act, Neeps & Tatties, Logan is forced to leave the Highlands and head back to his old stomping ground.

He may have spent his career dealing with the worst humanity has to offer, but to find out who killed Archie Tatties and his family, Logan will have to confront his most terrifying challenge yet - the seedy world of Scottish light entertainment.

An Isolated Incident is the eleventh book in JD Kirk’s internationally best-selling DCI Logan crime-fiction series. Perfect for fans of Chris Brookmyre, Stuart Macbride, and Alex Smith.

Another corker from JD Kirk.

Alex is the best narrator ever. Every dialect he smashes and I just love listening to him.

Another great instalment!

I'm a huge fan of this series!

Whilst the mystery aspect varies in calibre between each novel, you cannot fault the whole. And this doesn't disappoint.
Endearing yet flawed characters, whose interaction and humour are unparalleled (provided a little fruity language doesn't offend) and Angus King's narration brings them to life, and is as ever, faultless.
If you love the series, don't hesitate to order this new release, if you're a newcomer, start at number one, you're in for a treat!

Bravo!

Brilliant

It’s sheer joy - if the murder of 4 innocents, including two children, can be called ‘a joy’.

If you’re into meticulous police and forensic procedure, this probably isn’t for you. But, the joy come from the interactions of the team, the plot twists and, most of all, the fantastic narration.

Angus King is a one man show. His characterisation is great. The story is one of JD Kirk’s best, but the performance of Mr King makes this the speaking book equivalent of unputdownable.

Really, give it a go, you’ll love it.

Great listen!

Another enjoyable part of the Logan series. Story line, plot and characters all brilliantly interpreted by Angus. Didn’t work out who did it at all. Nicely done.
On to the next one!

excellent

Each DCI Logan somehow manages to be better than its predecessor, which is quite an achievement as they've all been tremendous. Angus King's narration the icing on the cake. I know where my next credit is going 👍

Fabulous

I have listened to all of the Jack Logan series and they are just the best, such excellent crime thrillers and are so funny, please don’t ever kill off the characters they compliment each other perfectly.
Hurry up next series ❤️

story, performance, and Jack Logan perfect

I love the characters in this series and see how they've grown and developed. the plot was simple but brilliantly put together. the relationships between the characters is just heart warming the humour makes me laugh out loud. I cannot wait for the next one as the epilogue was so tantalisingly written and narrated. bring it on Mr Kirk and Angus x
