Summary

Lucy Phillips doesn’t want to spend her Christmas vacation dodging her ex-boyfriend, so when he turns up at the airport to give her a ride home, Lucy panics and asks a complete stranger to kiss her. Although the kiss is incredible, Lucy never expects to see the guy again. Is it bad luck or destiny when Lucy comes down with a sore throat and the new doctor in Snow Valley is none other than Cole Taggart, the guy she kissed at the airport?

A nice light read

Fairly good story line. Good amount of characters no real depth to them . Predictable but fun , can be forgiven as it’s Christmas time.

Just like the last one from this author 😍

I really enjoyed this book and I also think the author loves Christmas time, cuz both books I've listened to was around Christmas 😆
Good thing I'm listening to them now and not in summer 😉

Really enjoyable

I really enjoyed this book. I got straight into the story, loved the characters and the narrator was good at doing the different character voices. I liked that the ending was detailed too rather than cut short and left to your imagination. Recommended listen.

Empty drivel

No real plot - all they ever talked about was kissing. Predictable and boring. Did a teenage girl write this?

clean one time read,okay

Some bits the editor had clearly missed, cheesy ,cringey and a bit drawn out, will they get together or not, back and forth. For about half the book it was enjoyable, the flirting conversations, then it started to take a bit of a downturn with rejection.

They got married after dating for 3 months! So much repetitive description of kissing, it got annoying.

Narrator mispronounced a few things a couple of times.
Moderately relaxing ,good but not so good as I'd want to listen to it again like the Cara Bastone Love Lines series.

Christian Romance

I think the god and church content should have come with a clear label.

The usual: “not like other girls” heroine (she likes superhero movies, don’t you know), trad values, misogyny (internalised and external), male protagonist worried about being “manly enough” in the eyes of random people, if something is to be seen as inferior and weak it’s compared to “like a girl” etc etc

Heroine gives up career she loves because she realises a man she just met is more important and she can just become his glorified secretary instead. Plus honest-to-goodness poor orphans at Christmas, as subtle as a bulldozer.

Please, sir, may I not have more.
