About this listen

Tony Award winner for Best Play and Olivier Award winner for Best Comedy. How much would you pay for a painting with nothing on it? Would it be art? Marc's best friend Serge has just bought a very expensive - and very white - painting. To Marc, the painting is a joke, and as battle lines are drawn, old friends use it to settle scores. With friendships hanging in the balance, the question becomes: how much is a painting worth? "A nonstop cross-fire of crackling language (and) serious issues of life and art...sounds like a marriage of Molière and Woody Allen," writes Newsweek.©2009 L.A. Theatre Works (P)2009 L.A. Only half a play

I only seemed to get half of the play.
I LOVE this play, it’s such a good bit of absurdist humour! But I wasn’t a fan of the performers, I found it jarring that they were American and feel they missed some of the humour in the lines (this could be just ordinal taste though) but where’s the rest of the play?!
I’d maybe just suggest buying and reading the play yourself.

Recommend Audiobook

Downloaded play from amazon audible. Good recording plus very interesting interviews with the creatives. Will certainly download more Yasmina Reza.

Thanks Audible!

Great to hear something like this while theatres are closed. I'd like to contradict another review and say the whole play is here. There's a 15minute interview between the 2 acts; just skip to the next track. Don't lose hope! Act 2 in coming!
