Not a triller, too depresive for me

Narator is ok, a little detached and flat for my taste. There are twists and turns but they are predictable, and there is not a real triller plot.

Gripping final book

The narrating voices if this are incredible. The story is great, there are twists but not so many that it's over the top and the characters feel very real. I'm gutted that I've binged all three now!

You might be disappointed

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series so was really looking forward to reading the final instalment. It just wasn’t as good and I ended up not liking Pip very much! Narration was fantastic tho!

Fan of the series

I love this series! However, this book was a bit disappointing… I guessed a big twist pretty early on which made it frustrating for Pip to not see the obvious but Pip just seemed to act a bit out of character. Definitely recommend- just not a fan of the conclusion.

Poor Ending!! Storyline not as good as books 1 & 2

Really disappointed in the ending. I love both the first books and couldn’t wait for this one as well. It took a while to get really into this one and when I finally did, the main part seemed to be over far too early in the story. I then became a bit bored for the few hours of listening but was determined to finish and convinced it would be just as great an outcome as the first two books. Sadly it wasn’t. The narrators were still fab the whole way though.

Excellent story line

Fabulous audio book - loved the series. It’s slightly more creepy than I expected but still loved it.

Bad ending to the series

This is like loads of other reviews but this book was not good. I really enjoyed 1, 2 was alright and I liked the plot, but this one was drawn out and unnecessary. Pip became thoroughly annoying, over dramatic and really dissimilar to her character in 1 and 2. The plot was glaringly obvious pretty quickly which just made the rest boring. The narration was good though

My advice is just listen to 1, possibly 2, but this one is unnecessary.

Hhhm - not as good as 1 and 2

I loved the first two books and the performances - well written and really clever in how the my series unravel - also very dark.

But this book is way too long. It’s overly descriptive - noises are dark, a description of the sky is several words and it’s all a little sixth form in parts. I ended up fast forwarding as it just got annoying and by the end of it Pip was just exasperating. A previous review said she made mistakes she wouldn’t have done previously which I agree with. Overall it’s a fitting coda to the first two books but just be prepared for some tortured metaphors and long drawn out descriptions and analogies - its way too long
