Summary
The essential universe, from our most celebrated and beloved astrophysicist.
What is the nature of space and time? How do we fit within the universe? How does the universe fit within us? There’s no better guide through these mind-expanding questions than acclaimed astrophysicist and bestselling author Neil deGrasse Tyson.
But today, few of us have time to contemplate the cosmos. So Tyson brings the universe down to Earth succinctly and clearly, with sparkling wit, in digestible chapters consumable anytime and anywhere in your busy day.
While waiting for your morning coffee to brew, or while waiting for the bus, the train, or the plane to arrive, Astrophysics for People in a Hurry will reveal just what you need to be fluent and ready for the next cosmic headlines: from the Big Bang to black holes, from quarks to quantum mechanics, and from the search for planets to the search for life in the universe.

interesting but difficult at times
With no prior reading on the subject, I was interested in an astrophysics audio book that explains complicated concepts with the simplicity required for a 3rd grade kid to understand it. By about Chapter 2, it becomes clear, this isn't it. Some concepts require a little prior knowledge and as a result, I got lost in some sections. Though, it's not long to find even footing again, and there's still plenty of fantastic learning to be had here. Glad I gave it a go.

Brilliant for anyone on the move
This audiobook is brilliant. It has everything you need to know to get into the finer complexities of science and the universe around you. From the historical side and how done theories came to be and evolved over time, to the intricacies of how they are applied in our lives. Neil also delivers his book in a way that makes it understandable, and with a certain voice that will make you wanting to find out more.

Astrophysics for people in a hurry
This book was a fantastic listen, and made better by the fact that it is narrated by Neil Degrasse Tyson himself. His books are the only reason I downloaded audible in the first place and I was not disappointed. I am now on to his audiobook 'Letters from an astrophysicist' and what began as me planning to quickly listen to this book alone and then delete before my 30 day trial runs out, has now turned into me wanting to stay to hear every book he has ever written.
