About this listen
An actor, a model, and a younger man walk into a therapist’s office.... They’re all Dylan Brodie. It’s only funny if you aren’t the single mom therapist he can’t stop flirting with.
Dear Mr. Brodie,
I hope this email finds you well.
Your well-being and personal growth are of the utmost importance to me, as a therapist.
As such, I have decided it is in your best interest to continue individual therapy with another practitioner.
This is due to the potential for boundaries being crossed between us.
Attached is a list of colleagues I would recommend for you.
Sincerely,
Scarlett Shepard, MS, MFT
Dear Scarlett,
Cool.
Consider our sessions terminated.
Now I can tell you how beautiful you are and how attracted I am to you.
Let’s start crossing boundaries over dinner tonight.
You’ll say it would be unethical, and I’ll point out that we’ve only had a few sessions.
You’ll cite the age difference, and I’ll tell you how hot it is that you’re six years older than me.
You’ll say you’re a mom, and I’ll remind you that I think your son is awesome.
We don’t have to discuss my former attachments to former co-stars ever again.
This is due to the fact that clearly my only personality issue is that I’m irresistible.
Yours in well-being and personal growth,
Dylan Brodie, W.M.H.T.A.T.Y.E.H. (Way More Handsome and Talented Actor Than Your Ex-Husband)
This is a duet-style audiobook, starring Zachary Webber and Emily Woo Zeller. Featuring Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, Mackenzie Cartwright, Connor Crais, and Emma Wilder.

Hilarious audio that will have you laughing hard!
This audiobook is hilarious. This is book 2 in the Brodie Brothers Series and is a full cast audiobook. I found out while listening to a podcast that Kayley wrote this book with certain narrators in mind and specifically with the audio version in mind. It shows and the production is top notch for a seamless finish.
Dylan is an actor and Scarlet is his therapist and although there are feelings and relationship stuff in this book, it is the funnies that makes it so freaking good. From f@rt jokes to cute kittens, to side splitting family group chats, this book is a winner. Who knew Family Feud could be so flippin’ funny?!!
I want Mamma Brodie to be in my family, we both have issues with autocorrect, hers will have you cracking up. I looked like a loon while I was driving because I was literally cackling to myself in my truck.
Mackenzie Cartwright does Mamma Brodie so well. Genius casting, I tell you, GENIUS!! Zachary gives a heartfelt performance as Dylan, the little brother who no one takes seriously. This was the first book I've heard Emily narrate and not only was she amazing and vulnerable as Scarlet but she gives us the perfect pigeon English for her Chinese mum, Evelyn. All those Chinese sayings - SO SO GOOD! Her accent was perfection. I loved all the other side characters narrated by Emma, Connor, Teddy and Jason. All the narrators did a bang up job and absolutely nailed it.
I haven't listened to many full cast performances but man, was this one good.

How does Kayley Loring do it?
How does Kayley Loring do it? Every time I listen to one of her books, I think this is the best she has written. Each one hysterically funny, easy to relate to and ah the romance! These Brodie men are the best! We met Dylan in Owen's story, and no, you don't have to listened to Owen to understand this one, they all stand alone(but grab it anyway, you will want to!). Falling in love with his co-stars is a given with each of his acting jobs. But now he is home. And circumstances bring him into the orbit of a woman he met in passing several years ago. The draw he feels is still there. Scarlett is a therapist and mother, divorced from an actor and has no intentions of getting involved with another. There is something about Dylan though. Witty banter, an amazing child(Noah steals the show with his random trivia), engaging emails and a falling in love story that had my earbuds latched in from beginning to end. I could not stop! Laughing out loud is the best, and that warm feeling in your heart as they fall in love is just icing on the cake. I absolutely love this and can't wait for the Miles, the grumpy one who I know I will fall for the hardest!
I do think that Kayley has a cast in mind as she writes because it is the only way should could match them so perfectly. Zachary Webber is fantastic as Dylan. He has that carefree, playboy sound with an amazing comedic timing. Not to mention his amazing ability to do child voices. Emily Woo Zeller is Scarlett! From the first line, I could feel how connected she is with her character, giving her the nuances and feelings to make her real. Add in the incredible talents of the full cast, and I could not have been a happier listener!
