About this listen
Everyone in the newsroom knows that somebody is monitoring their emails, but Beth and Jennifer don't believe anyone would read their never-ending conversations. But Lincoln does, it's his job, and Beth and Jennifer's hilarious, no-holds-barred emails are the best part of his day.
The only problem is he's starting to fall in love with Beth and yet she doesn't even know he exists. With ex-boyfriends, office politics and family drama, there never seems to be a good time for Lincoln to introduce himself. But to get the life you want sometimes you need to put yourself out there....

An engaging and charming story, brilliantly performed.
Another excellent audio interpretation of a wonderful Rainbow Rowell story. Really well performed, subtle yet distinct voices/ intonations for the different characters.

A love slowburn with a satisfying ending
I love Rainbow Rowell books and this is no exception. Despite the circumstances you route for the characters to be together.
Love before first sight.

A happy place to visit
Perfect escapism. I rarely give 5 stars to a book but this one really deserves it. To think that takes place in 1999, but it seems so long ago, a time where moral values where still a thing, and people acted with common decency, no social media, no cultural wars, a time where people that wished you well prayed for you. it gave me loads of nostalgia, and put a smile on my face the entire time. A perfect place to escape our depressing times.

Loved it
Most enjoyable book I've read in a while. It can get difficult to tell whose emails are who as the writer doesn't do drastically different voices but it's still wonderful.

I Just Love Rainbow Rowell
Another great love story by Rainbow Rowell. If you've enjoyed any of her other books; Fangirl was my first and I fell in love with Cather and Levi. Eleanor and Park was my second and I became obsessed with the two of them. So now, Beth and Lincoln are forever in my heart too.
Rainbow has the knack of building these amazing characters and putting them into epic love story situations. You just want to watch them be together so badly.
Plus Rebecca Lowman is the perfect narrator for Rainbows books. They just fit together.
I'm a huge fan.

The mother 😩
I really enjoyed this story; the friendship between Jennifer and Beth, and the relationship between Lincoln and Beth, before and after they knew it. I feel like the ending was a little rushed. I also found myself painfully irritated by Lincoln’s creepy, overbearing mother who treated him like a substitute husband. Really horrible character, and Lincoln’s appeasement of her equally so.
