Summary
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends With Us comes a passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance.
At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her—and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.
Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can't take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.

One dimensional
A story of a deaf young musician that concentrates on his sense of touch and his relationships, but makes nothing of building a visual for him or the listener. If I had to choose which character I would be, it would be Maggie, as at least she gets to go out of the apartment, the place where 99.9% of the book is set. The characterisation was weak with vague nods to back stories, and the repetitive use of the Heart motif gets boring. No twists in the story to surprise and an utterly obvious ending. Perhaps if I was 15 or 16 this love story would have me in raptures, but I'm not so this one is not for me.
