About this listen
Top 100 international Amazon best seller
From Cora Kenborn and Catherine Wiltcher comes Corrupt Gods, a brand-new arranged-marriage mafia duet.
A Santiago is a lesson in ruin.
A Carrera bleeds for revenge.
Thalia Santiago is the daughter of my enemy. A beautiful rebel with a single cause. Impulsive. Fearless. And ripe for her father's undoing.
I recognized her the moment she stepped into my casino. I watched her start the fires that burned her pretty fingers, and then I poured gasoline on the flames. Now she's in my debt, and her dues are a shiny gold ring and a vow of deception.
I'll bend her. I'll break her. I'll turn our mockery of a marriage into a battlefield. And that river of bad blood that flows between our two families? I'll make it an ocean of hate.
This is book one of a new dark romance duet. Tainted Blood, book two, is now live.
Bad Blood is set in the Santiago and Carrera worlds, but it is not necessary to have listened to either trilogy beforehand.

Fantastic listen!
Santi and Thalia. What a pair! Cora Kenborn and Catherine Wiltcher had me at the first encounter, with Santi catching Thalia in the act of stealing from him. Now in his debt, and a feud between families, the fun begins. Forced into marriage with her father's enemy, Thalia is going to do whatever it takes to keep her sister safe. The chemistry is off the charts, and though enemies, the two are explosive together. And though family enemies, the two have a common goal, and the danger of the possible outcome is becoming real. This story is exciting and on the edge of your seat thrilling. The steam is high, the passion incredible. Wiltcher and Kenborn leave us wanting the second in this duet! I can't wait!
Aaron Shedlock and Stephanie Nemeth Parker make a fantastic team. Shedlock uses that Mexican accent of his, winning my heart immediately. But I really love the danger he inflects in his voice, making the alpha come alive. Parker is amazing as Thalia. She has a strength in her voice that comes through and creates a personality perfectly fit for Thalia. The two are great together and I am looking forward to book 2!

Oh my, what a brilliant book!!
I can’t tell you how good this book is. The storyline is brutal. Performance from both Stephanie and Aaron is phenomenal. With fantastically written characters and a gripping storyline I can’t wait for the rest of this storyline to pan out.

Absolutely loved this book!
Bad Blood is a fantastic listen with top-of-the-line narration that wild draw you in and keep you until the end of book 1. Needless to say, I can’t wait to start book 2 in this series.
Thalia Santiago is the daughter of a cartel boss. She’s aware of what and who her family is, but her instincts to protect her older sister leader her to the casino of Santi Carrera, her family’s mortal enemy. When she’s caught counting cards, Santi sees the possibility to use her for revenge against her family.
What he doesn’t expect is her fire, intelligence, beauty, and bravery could make her his downfall. While the families are firmly squaring off against each other, there’s a larger looming threat that may force everyone to rethink who the real enemy is.
This book ends on a cliff-hanger, but it ‘s so well-written and read, you’ll definitely dive into the next book.

Cliffhanger wowza start to the series!
Santi and Thalia are extremely hot together. This was an explosive start to this series. And I loved how it tied into the Santiago cartel family. Thalia is caught counting cards in Santi’s casino but she hadn’t known Santi was there. She’s trying to save her sister and nothing will get in her way to do so. Ella is her sick sister who she will do anything for. The look back at how these two meet when they were children was memorable it seems for both.
The Santiago’s and the Carrera’s are rivalling Mafia families yet both despised this unknown threat and what they are doing to women.
This narration team was brilliantly cast. Stephanie’s soft voices were amazingly done. Lola as well as Thalia became alive in this awesome start to the series. And Aaron was just as awesome. His voice and persona were amazing for the mafia man who hides his feelings inside the brutal and demanding, yet caring and passionate man who may have just fell for Thalia the rival families Princess.
Then that explosive cliffhanger ending may be one of the most book hangovers I’ve ever experienced. I HAVE TO HAVE THE NEXT BOOK NOW please 😳

Bitter rivals…
Thalia risks herself for her sister. She is caught at Santi’s casino “stealing” from him. These bitter rivals have such a strong attraction… and they end up married though is not the romantic way. Suspense and action all around and a cliffhanger that leaves you thirsty for more. Very well narrated!

My Thoughts on Bad Blood
It was so exciting jumping back into the world of the Carreras. And it has me very interested in checking out the Santiagos. This definitely had a little bit of a different feel to it which I attribute to there being two authors on this one but it didn’t make it less of a completely captivating read. I liked the fact that both leading characters were from the cartel world even if they had different feelings about it. And I love that there’s this whole history between their families and a special history between them that is fueling this storyline along. I honestly enjoyed every moment of it until the very end. And even though I knew it was coming because I knew this was a duet, it still killed me to have it end where it did and to know that I now need to wait for the next book to come out on audio to be able to jump in and find out how this is resolved. But I’m also excited because not only do I have high hopes for book two but for more books from these two authors in future both together and separately. There were plenty of characters in this book that deserve to have their story told in my opinion. And I have my fingers crossed that I will get to hear those stories someday.
The narration was excellent. Aaron Shedlock speaking Spanish and with an accent was absolutely fantastic. Stephanie Nemeth Parker did very well too although I admit I expected her to have and accent as well. Overall I still enjoyed the performance and the story.

BAD BLOOD
What the heck, NOOOOO!!!! I HATE the ending. Both girls got taken, well at least they will be together and hopefully not suffer much and they find them fast. They need to be found fast. I just hope both families get along and find them instead of fighting amongst themselves. I hate and like the end just because of the fact that both of the girls will be eachothers comfort in a way. F*$% I can't wait for the next book. I hope it comes out soon.

The Perfect Pairing!
I am obsessed with Cora Kenborn and Catherine Wiltcher so when I saw a book by both of them I about fell out of my chair! So of course I jumped on it right away and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
Talia and Santi have some ridiculously bad blood, but there are so many twists and turns it's hard to know who to trust, and some of the turns shocked the boots off of me!
However bad the blood between the two is, there is also affection. Santi has a major soft spot for Talia and I was so here for it! I loved the connection between these two and I loved watching them learn to trust regardless of their family's issues with each other. I didn't like how brutal the fathers were to each other, I get it but in their books I saw them as good guys (I know get a good laugh at that one) but seriously I wanted to see them come together and become family but hating the animosity and unwillingness to budge. BUT that's what made things just that much sweeter in the end.
This book really exceeded my expectations and I loved every minute of it!
Aaron Shedlock and Stephanie Nemeth Parker were great!! They really brought these characters life! It was a wonderful listen.
