About this listen
Cleopatra Paige hates one thing in this world - just one - and his name is Zachariah Prince.
In grade school, he pulled at her pigtails. In middle school, he spread false rumors about her. And in high school, he ruined her prom.
She hates that his smirks are unfairly sexy. And she definitely loathes that his dark eyes seem to follow her everywhere. Sometimes, even in her dreams.
It doesn't matter that he's rich and popular, or that he lives in a freaking mansion full of butlers and maids. He's rude and arrogant, and she wants to stay as far away from him as possible.
But unfortunately for Cleo, she lives in the same freaking mansion as Zach.
Only he's the prince, and she's the lowly maid who serves him.
Contains mature themes.

Bullying has consequences.
This is a bully, wrong side of the tracks romance. Not be confused by comparisons to L J Shen's book Viscous. This work stands completely on it's own.
Cleo Paige, aka Blue is a dyed haired snarky heroine who works as the maid in a fancy property where Zach reigns supreme. (Seriously.. his surname is Prince... ) She's now an orphan trying to save money to buy back her parents home. Zach and his friends tormented her for years. This book takes place after the bullying had happened and deals more with the impact of emotional scars that Blue has carried because of Zach. She's gotten used to not checking over her shoulder for her tormenters when blue loving bad boy comes back home after a 3 year absence.
“You’ll never own me. Not now. Not ever.”
“Is that a challenge, Blue?”
In Cleo's own words he is to her what sharp objects are to fragile things. These two ripped each other apart, then ripped each others clothes off. Personally, this story wasn't for me despite the strength of Cleo's grit to keep going despite tragedy.. her reaction to Zach and his "issues" just felt out of character. That old adage of "boys teasing girls because they actually like them" comes to mind but I think I would rather have just stuck to the ebook version of this, I don't think the narration added anything.

Cinderella & her Dark Prince
This was such a great story, it was intense & funny, and full of angst & chemistry. The side characters were such a great addition to the story, I adored Art!
The progression of their relationship when we get little snippets of their past just makes it that much more intense.
Blue is such a wonderful character, her grief is so real you can feel it.

Brilliant story.
An emotional listen at times, the way Cleo despite all that she'd suffered from Zachary's friends still went after Zac, trying to understand him. She was a strong person, and wasn't afraid to challenge him. Zac had so many demons in his head from how he was treated by his parents, in particular him mum who never stood up for him against his dad.
I really enjoyed this story, found the narrators easy to listen to.

Bad choice of narrators
I have read this book before and really enjoyed it, however the audible version just really didn’t have the same effect for me. I found the male voice too old for the age of the characters, and jeez the female voice was so irritating, she just constantly sounded like she was in physical pain!
