Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
The extraordinary No.1 best seller.
Battle Scars tells the story of Jason Fox’s career as an elite operator, from the gunfights, hostage rescues, daring escapes and heroic endeavours that defined his service, to a very different kind of battle that awaited him at home.
After more than two decades of active duty, Foxy was diagnosed with complex PTSD, forcing him to leave the military brotherhood and confront the hard reality of what follows. What happens when you become your own enemy? How do you keep on fighting when life itself no longer feels worth fighting for?
Unflinchingly honest, Battle Scars is a breathtaking account of Special Forces soldiering: a chronicle of operational bravery, and of superhuman courage on and off the battlefield.

An interesting listen to motivate & inspire
I preferred the second half of the book, also even his voice tone seemed to lift. The last few chapters are very inspiring & the physical and mental goals set are adaptable to anyones circumstances & abilities.

Everyone can learn from Jason 's experience.
The lessons do not resonate until the last quarter of the book, but the story and journey to get to the holy grail is fascinating. Foxy was a brave warrior, no doubt about it. But his real bravery was his battle with his mind and being trapped in a tailspin in civvy street. As ever he fought hard and won the battle. His analogy re glass of water overflowing in life will resonate with everyone, military or not. I have Ben there too. Top book by a top man.
