I'd had enough half way through Chapter 4
I was hoping for some help, some techniques to build up resilience to the things that deplete my mental state every day. Near the beginning it does state help like that is not coming in this book, I found that discouraging and I pressed on but by chapter 4 I decided to heed the warning this book wasn't what I was looking for and returned it. You need to be doing better than me to get something from this.

Not his best.
I am a fan of Ant, but, his book this time was a let down to say the least. Its just a rehash of his old stuff and him blabbering on about all the things that's been in the news lately that involved him. Bit boring overall.

Another amazing book smashed out the park

Succinctly put to inspire introspection
I have not read anything else by Ant or seen anything other than snippets of him shouting at people on TV programmes which puts me off watching any however I was recommended this book so thought I would give it a go.
At the start of the narration you can tell he is reading from something and sounds like this everytime he revisists a story but as he gets further through he sounds more like he is just talking to you and he actually has a very reasuring and comfortable tone so I listened for hours at a time and had it finished in two days.
The contents is not ground breaking but he covers it in a way that makes you think about how to assess and apply it to each area of your life and it is not overwelming just broken down into individual components that you can combine to create a better you.
It made me think about lots of little things I could do without feeling overwhelmed and starting nothing like you get with lots of these sorts of books and although I don't suffer from anxiety/lack of confidence/overwhelmor issues with life in general I came away with quite a lot of things I feel I could improve.
It was a delight to listen to Ant's narration, getting better as he went along.
Although I can't really imagine or relate to the military stories, which there weren't many of, there is plenty of general principles that gave me reason to think about my outlook, behaviour and attitudes.
I can't comment as to how repetitive it is to his other stuff but definetly worth a read if you haven't read his other stuff.
