Summary
Skelm Island, Maine, has always been known for two things: lobsters and its broken lighthouse.
But when corpses start showing up in the water, the isolated town becomes the face of a cryptic investigation.
At the heart of which stands Lincoln Porter, a grumpy ex-SEAL whose lobstering business seems to attract more dead bodies than fish.
When homicide expert Detective Sloane is called in to assist with the case, she begins digging up skeletons; ones that Lincoln would rather stay buried.
Forced to work together, Sloane’s suspicious attitude and optimistic demeanor grate on the lobsterman’s nerves, resulting in a rivalry that’s as addicting as it is volatile.
But as everything unravels and they have no one else to trust, Lincoln and Sloane must depend on each other to figure out what secrets should be brought to light...and which secrets should stay hidden.

Well written
Suspenseful romance with a bit of spice and a cosy mystery with twists and turns.
Great storyline, character development and great narration by Liam Dicosimo and Lily Drake.

It’s a great listen!
With great characters and a thrilling storyline, Be Still My Heart is packed with exciting twists, steamy heat, murder and mystery. I love a good romantic suspense, and this one didn’t disappoint. Great narrators too!

Wow
I really wasn't expecting those twists in the story. For a long time best friend to come back and a family member to be so different from what everyone could see. Just wow.

Had me Hooked
Well written and performed but please read trigger warnings has covers child abuse in the past. Great story with lots of twists and turns really enjoyed

Too long but ok
The first half was snooze worthy and I was very nearly dnfing it. I actually listened to first 1/2 at 3,5x speed and didn't miss anything. There was a ton of inner monologue and it was slow and a bit depressing.
From the 60% mark it got interesting and the mystery was actually quite good from then on. The spice was okay, and the romance was cute when they stopped thinner monologue.
The narration was outstanding, they interpreted the characters beautifully.
It was free on ku and, separately audible too.

Didn’t want to stop listening
Really really enjoyed this, the narrators voices were perfect too. The reason I’m giving it 3 is because I guessed who the serial killer was by the first few chapters, as well as the other twist so I felt like it was predictable however I did still really enjoy it and finished it in 2 days!
