An imaginative captivating storyline
This is not the usual type of read or listening I go for. But I wanted some thing different. Although the story line was a bit slow at first I was soon entertained. Just by chance whilst scanning the Amazon read's I saw the blub and then read the reviews. Which I might add I always do about a book or an audio book then I make the decision to commit. If you're looking for something different to your normal style give this a go you won't be disappointed

A bit disappointing
I don't know if it was the narrator misreading or the author getting things wrong but there were so many instances of not quite the right word in this book: eg amiss instead of remiss to name but one of the many. I found this irritating. Having listened to all the books i have to say that the narrator sounds a bit like he's reading the news. Of course this is just my subjective view but I think I would've enjoyed the book more if read by someone else.

Great story, ultimately rewarding
After being left in Limbo at the end of the 86 Fix I am glad I didn’t have to wait to find out what happened to our Craig. This is a darker slog, seeing what his changes did to the timeline when her emerges makes for depressing listening but by the end everything is good and rosy.
Performance was good although not sure why Craig’s parole/release officer bloke went from Welsh to Scottish so quickly but it wasn’t too much of a distraction in the end.
Well worth the listen!

Miserable
If you’re in a happy and positive mood this audiobook is guaranteed to snap you straight out of it by reminding you of all the worst things that have happened to you in your life.
I endured the pain and misery for the entire duration of this book, and it’s predecessor The 86 Fix, in the hope that there would be a big pay off in the end making it all worthwhile. But it turned out all my hopes were in vain.
The narrator is good, but the story isn’t strong enough to make enduring the misery worthwhile.

A bit preachy but very uplifting
This book is an excellent conclusion to a very well thought out story. It's a little bit Disney in its ending but really if it ended any other way it'd probably annoy everyone.
having read the reviews of the previous book in the series I know it was a bit Marmite with half the readers loving the ending and the other half hating it. I personally this the first book ends well and I'm heartened to see the author didn't get too carried away with the conclusion of this book. I can honestly say that however you feel about book 1 this is definitely worth reading/listening too.
Keith's sense of humour is very British which is always a tick in the plus box. keep an eye out for the subtle reference to the reviews on book one that gave me a good chuckle. I'm pleased to see even more humour in this book despite some dark subjects being addressed.
I was very impressed with the authors ability to take a fantastical story ark and yet somehow keep the narrative very grounded.
I must admit I'm not a big fan of Andy Cresswell I find him a bit monotone obviously not enough to put me off listening to the book. His attempts at portraying female characters I found to particularly jarring. All that his delivery does suit Craig but I would have liked to see a little more animation as Craig's personality develops.
Overall I would definitely recommend the book especially if you enjoyed the first book (whatever your opinion of the ending).
