One of the best trilogies I have listened to. New narrator for this book, but once you have gotten used to the new accents it get’s better and better.

Blood and thunder

What an enjoyable trilogy. The magic is low key and doesn't give the heroes an unbeatable advantage, the characters are three dimensional and likable, the story is great. And I love the Mad Lancers. All in all a very pleasurable listen, and John Telfer did a great job of taking over from Christian Rodska - they are both excellent narrators.

Satisfying conclusions

Really enjoyed the trilogy , very binge-able content for this current lockdown tedium. Christian rodska is an excellent narrator and adds a flare to the all the characters which really finishes and perfects the experience for me. Definitely recommended.

I'm sad I finished this trilogy.

I loved it. Really good and enjoyable as the rest of the story. The performance is great, though it takes some time to get used to it after five books of the same voice.

love the story, definitely recommend!

Great, engaging story, slightly annoying that the last book has a different voice actor. he's not bad by any means, I just got so used to the other one!

A Truly Epic Series

Wow, I can't believe my Powder Mage adventure has come to an end, A truly epic saga of gunpowder, sorcery and Gods. Brian McClellan has become one of my favourites and his Powder world will leave you in awe with absolutely amazing characters you will really love. What an ending and conclusion to a series that has it all, the plot, setting, an action packed adventure and the pacing of this awesomely told story will have you drooling from the very start until the very last page. In this final book, Vlora, Olem, Taniel, Ka Poel and Mad Ben Styke must come together with their RifleJack's and Mad Lancers to try stop the Dynize army, their power mad leader Ka Sedial from reaching a God like status that could be the end to them all. But in doing so alot of sacrifices must be made, Blood spilt and the loss of alot friends who will give everything to try and stop him. Will evil prevail over good, check it out to find out. The narration by John Telfer gives an excellent preformence in this final installment. I absolutely promise you won't regret picking up this excellent and exciting series, definitely in my top ten reads to date, highly recommended....😁💥🔥

disappointing change of narrator

love the series and Brian McKellen in general but such a shame to change the narrator on the last book of a series. Nothing wrong with the new guy just different voices to the characters I've invested in. Ben Styke particularly distressing.

Great replacement narrator

A great end to the series and a brilliant effort by the narrator John telfer in matching his predecessor who was too unwell to read this book. You can tell a lot of effort went into matching how each character sounds and it really helped make a satisfying listen. Well done to all involved.

Amazing end to the series

I was worried at first that the change of author would spoil this after the incredible narration of the other books but actually this turned out to be unfounded. The narration was great and I felt like this was an amazing end to the series. I couldnt stop listening.
