About this listen
Hell hath no fury like a witch-turned-vampire scorned....
My long-dead vampire brother has returned from hell. He's challenged my right to the vampire throne. He brought a hellhound with him. Every time his hellbeast kills, the bastard gets stronger. He's unstoppable. Stronger and faster than any vampire I've ever encountered. Have I finally met my match?
On top of that, my ex-vampire lover is on a tear. I need to rally every vampire I can find. I've teamed up with Prince Ladinas and the Vampire Underground. These vampires aren't much for the democratic processes of the Vampire Council. They need a bloody queen—and I'm just the bitch for the job.

Excellent
I've been waiting for this return to Mercy's world. I was not disappointed. This was a great setting, and the new characters were amazing. New and old characters make this, along with a fantastic plot and pace. Highly recommend this.

Love Mercy Brown
I loved this story. Although Mercy Brown has played a role in many of the author's other series, this one has her front and center, and I loved it. Mercy is a vampire and a witch, now become the vampire queen, as the sole remaining progeny of the first vampire, Nico the Damned. Then, her 'brother' returns to challenge her for the position, along with his hellhound, and all h*ll breaks loose. That is just one of the threads here. Mercy's old lover Ramon is also back, but there are twists with him, too, and a potential...angel...also complicates things. But Mercy doesn't shrink from the challenges as she, vampire prince Ladinas, and the vampire underground strive to keep the peace between vampires and humans. I love Mercy. As a 100 year-old vampire, she has seen a lot. She is sassy, snarky, and takes no bull, but she also has a heart of gold and cares about her people, and protects the helpless humans. I really enjoyed this listen and am eager for the next audiobook in the series.
The narrator is a good fit. She really gets Mercy Brown's attitude, and also the (sometimes) long-suffering Ladinas as he tries to support Mercy, even when she disregards his advice and follows her own path.
I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Awesome
Another great book. Fabulous characters and amazing storyline. I highly recommend this as another fabulous addition in an offshoot series. Kelly Hazens narration is brilliant as always. 😀😊😍

Decent start
The story is well-written and the storyline is interesting, though I feel that the narration could have been better. Still, this was fun to listen to.

Fun fantasy adventures
I'm usually not a fan of fantasy adventures; I'm more a dark/very very dark PNR king of girl...
But somehow Theophilus Monroe succeeded in creating such a fun, sassy, politically incorrect, anti-heroine with Mercy, that had me hooked to the pages. Well, to my pods, since I had the audiobook version 😁
There's a lot of action, an amazing cast of supernatural characters, old lovers, new ones, hellhounds, Angels, druids, faes, mysteries, magic, all wrapped in a huge dose of humour.
Bloody Queen is a fun and easy read.
100% recommended!

Great introduction to The Fury of a Vampire Witch
This book is a great opener to the new series and not only do you get a great story line, you also have Mercy explaining the rules and understanding vampires or witch’s spells. It is done in a way that you feel like she is talking to you as well as the characters in the book. Kelley Hazen’s voices brings the characters to life and you can also feel the atmosphere and imagine the scenes. For vampire lovers, you must give this series a go
