A great book as expected

with spud narrating it makes the story much more real. A great story from the legend himself.

Authentic and Funny

To begin with Nigel Elys book starts like many books written by former Special Forces Soldiers, the keen eye for detail, the accustomed professionalism in harsh environments, Nigel Ely has it all

The difference is that Ely evokes the surreal experience of war and its aftermath in such a simple and honest way it makes his book immensely engaging

Nigel Elys narration is clear and straightforward, the military turn of phrase keeps its sense and humour when it’s spoken by someone who really knows what it means, it’s something I really appreciated and often made me laugh out loud

It was a great listen and I look forward to hearing the next one

Great story

Really well documented version of events by a man who's been there seen it and done it and tells it exactly how it is. Excellent outlook on life and extremely relatable from my perspective. Shameful police intervention handled ever so well and I hope the good cause comes to fruition. Finished a little abruptly for my liking but I guess I was enjoying the listen and I'll look forward to hearing how the saga finishes.

fantastic story

thoroughly enjoyed this book. such an incredible story that snowballs into a ludicrous police investigation to locate a bronze butt, the mind boggles, truth really is stranger than fiction.
