About this listen
Brodie Miller is an alpha who has had a rough year living in the city. His omega maxed out his credit cards and left him high and dry. The failed relationship sends Brodie running for a free room at home and the familiar comfort of small town living in Cherry Hollow. He finds a serious job, and a side hustle as a bartender, to start digging himself out of trouble.
Porter Eastwood was born into an influential Cherry Hill family. He never missed out on anything money could buy. Entangled in the Eastwood family business, Porter is unhappy with his job, and if that isn’t enough to make him miserable, he’s a failed omega who has never been in heat.
When Porter finds himself infatuated with the new bartender at his favorite drinking spot, sparks fly, and they tumble their way into bed. Much to Porter’s surprise, it sends him into his very first heat. Brodie steps up to the challenge, the first man to make Porter feel truly cared for, but their amazing chemistry can’t stop reality from creeping in. Porter is still an Eastwood, and Brodie didn’t grow up on Cherry Hill.
Porter soon realizes he made a serious mistake during his heat, and a baby is on the way. Brodie’s day job has him delving into the seedier aspects of the Eastwood empire. With Brodie getting closer to finding out if the Eastwoods are involved in illegal activity, and Porter carefully counting down days until he might start to show, will they be able to make their relationship work?

Refreshing, sexy and endearing!
This is my first book by Meg and first time listening to Gabriel and with Ki have created an awesomely delivered audiobook.
I really enjoyed the world of Cherry Hill and love Brodie from the start (I just knew there was more to him) and loved Porter’s adorable fumblings and such endearing babbling as he lusted after Brodie. I’m loving MPreg at the moment and enjoyed the process of Porter experiencing his first heat and then an unexpected pregnancy. I liked that Ki and Meg included very real world aspects into their story and I enjoyed and hated the classism that was forced on Cherry Hill by Porter’s mother. She was a piece of work and while I enjoyed the confrontation at the end, I really wanted more of a “comeuppance” for her distasteful behavior to her own children.
I loved Cherry Hill and all the additional characters were great and I look forward to many more stories in this world. I loved Brodie’s family and their quick acceptance of Porter. I feel like I need to read Brodie’s Brothers story now to. I also loved Brodie’s mother, she’s the perfect loving mum and fierce momma-bear when need be.
All in all, a great story with wonderful, loveable characters and sexy mpreg happenings, made this story a winner for me!!

as good as the ebook
The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.
