About this listen
Can an older man make Jag break all the rules that keep him safe?
For the last few years, Jag’s life has been a living hell. His rules have kept him safe.
The Heaven and Hell Club was supposed to be another brief stop, but when the bereaved owner, Michael, turns his world upside down, Jag breaks one rule after another.
Being with Michael gives Jag a reason to stop running, but can he find the courage to stay?
Broken, the first book in the Heaven and Hell Club series, is a high angst, hurt/comfort romance with an age-gap relationship, pole dancing, and a HEA.
Trigger warning: Conversion therapy is mentioned and described in brief detail.

Heartbreak but an HEA
A wonderful story written by Colette , a difficult subject handled very well. I cried in parts and was mad in others.
But in the end I ended up relieved more than anything. Its great when a book really pulls at your emotions, truly means your reading a book by an awesome author.

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

love conquers all
This story started out pretty sad, with a broken young man trying to survive the horrors in his life. Then he gets a job and meets his new boss.
Michael took one look at Jay and felt the young boys fear , he sets out to try to help him but he could not foresee what was to come.
l enjoyed the story and the narration .

Finding a home
I love this new series by Colette Davison. I can tell this club is going to have many great stories to tell. Here, Jag and Michael both have incredibly painful pasts. Jag's family has done an unspeakably awful, thing to him, no wonder he's running and hiding. Michael isn't hiding, but he hasn't yet found a way to move past his grief. Together, these two find safety, security, acceptance and love. I found Piers Ryman's performance very moving. He captured all of Jag's hurt, fear and anger and Michael's grief and at the beginning of the story and then gradually let us hear in his voice their healing.
