About this listen
Lucas Thorn wasn't born a cheater. All it took was a single moment - say, a certain disastrous incident on the night before his wedding - and boom. Reputation destroyed forever and always. So now he owns it. He has a lady friend for every night of the week (except Sundays - God's day and all), and his rules are simple: No commitments. No exceptions.
But a certain smart-mouthed, strawberry blonde vixen is about to blow that all to hell.
Avery Black has never forgiven Lucas for cheating on her sister. And suddenly being forced to work with him is pretty much a nightmare on steroids. Of course, it does afford her the opportunity to make his life as difficult as possible. But no good revenge scheme comes without payback. Because he didn't become the Lucas Thorn without learning a few things about women.
Now Avery's lust for vengeance has turned into, well, lust. And if Lucas stops cheating, it's definitely not because he's falling in love...

funny, sexy, very enjoyable
Rating 4.5
I listened to the audio, this book was very funny at times and the narrators were both great! Lucas Thorn was such an a-hole, but a loveable one.......it's not cheating if they all know....right?? Lol, read it to find out. It's enemies to lovers mixed with a kind of second chance, but all highly enjoyable and gave me a good giggle just when I needed it.

RVD is becoming a firm favourite.
I loved the banter between the two lead characters, and I liked how the backstory was spaced out throughout the current events.
Lucy Rivers is my favourite female narrator, and her male voice is always perfect.
First time listening to Alexander Cendese, and while his own voice is delicious, I wasn't enamoured of his female voices - they were a little too nasal & whiny for some of the characters he was portraying.
That hasn't stopped me from downloading the next book in the series.

A Novel Experience
A very lighthearted and enjoyable story. I like that the tale is told from both perspectives as the overall story progresses. So you learn where Lucia is coming from and where Avairy intersects and contributes. The 2 narrators do an absolutely brilliant job portraying both their own characters and the opposite partner too. A very well written story.
The only thing lacking (in my opinion), is how the middle sister fits into it all - as she has no developed personality in the tale.
Even though I would have not necessarily come across this novel in my day to day browsing, I am pleased that because of my Kindle Unlimited subscription, I happened upon this and the 2nd book in the series. I'm pleased to have found them, this one is well worth the investment in time.

A true Romantic Comedy!
I literally cackled out loud at some parts of this book. What a ride! It was quite the balancing act but the author pulled it off. She skillfully avoided straying into the so-ridiculous-and-trying-too-hard-too-make-a-joke pitfall which so many romantic comedy novels fall into.
My favourite bit? Can't tell a lie, I was so thrilled when Brooke got boxed in the mouth. So overdue!
The narration for this was hilarious too. The voice of Lucas trying to do Avery had me in stitches.
Worth the listen/read!
