Summary

She left him for dead. Now, he’s back to repay the favor.

DCI Jack Logan should’ve known things were going too well. Genuinely happy for the first time in years, Jack has almost fooled himself into believing that the world is a decent place.

But when the discovery of a mutilated body kicks off a series of grisly murders, Jack’s dream of a peaceful life rapidly begins to crumble around him.

With friends in danger and enemies begging for his help, Jack must risk everything to protect the final would-be victim and stop the most monstrous killer he’s ever faced.

And to do that, sacrifices will have to be made....

Colder than the Grave is the 12th novel in the number one best-selling DCI Jack Logan series set in the Highlands of Scotland. Perfect for fans of Stuart Macbride, Chris Brookmyre, Ian Rankin, and LJ Ross.

Really good listen. The best of the series for me.

Give this series a go. A lovely lack of the foul mouthed Hoon in this one.

Believe all the reviews, a superb series

Don’t know how it took so long to find this series but after binge listening to them all they are a hard and faultless act to follow.
Superb Character’s, even better humour, some very dark and disturbing scenes but all completely believable and essential for great listening. Angus King’s performances have been nothing but flawless throughout and added even more to great stories.
Can’t wait for more in the series.

What's not to like?

I love this series of books. The problem is I can't get enough of them. I listen to them in a couple od days and I am then left feeling bereft until the next one comes out. If I happen to miss the release of one and get two together it's like Christmas. The characters are very likeable and the way the books involve not only the crime, but also the lives of the characters is brilliant. Angus King is a really good narrator. I just love his accent and the way he brings these books to life. I look forward to the next with anticipation.

FANTASTIC!!

Brilliant writing as always from JD Kirk. The story was compelling from the start. I love how everything all linked together.

Brilliant narration as always by Angus King, he does a great job of bringing the characters off the page into the "real" world.

Fast paced, gripping with grit and humour throughout.
