Summary
A second chance prequel from small town romance author Brooke Montgomery about high school sweethearts who find each other again after 10 years and reveal secrets that change everything.
I didn’t know I was pregnant. Ayden walked away from me a decade ago and never looked back. The only thing he left me was our sweet, amazing daughter, and a mile-long list of small-town secrets. When his father—the town’s mayor—threatens me, Ayden’s childhood best friend steps in, and I have no choice but to fight the battles he ran away from. I spent years looking for the only man who’s ever stolen my heart. When I finally find him in Sugarland Creek, Tennessee, I go and face him. He deserves to know the truth. Not just about his child, but his best friend, too. No matter how much time has passed and how far apart we are, my heart still beats for him. But I don’t want to get hurt again. Even though I want to give us another chance, it’s not just my heart on the line...it’s our daughter’s, too.
Come With Me is a prequel in the Sugarland Creek series. If you love second chances, secret children, and small-town tropes, you’ll fall hard for Ayden, Laney, and Serena! Each book in the series is a stand-alone and ends in a happily ever after.

Ayden & Laney
The Sugarland Creek series starts with a bang. This novella gave me all the small town, cowboy, found family feels I love in my audiobooks.
Can’t wait for the rest of the series.
CJ Bloom and Bradley Ford are absolute magic as Ayden and Laney.

Come With Me (Ayden & Laney)
This is my second book by Brooke Montgomery. I fell in love with Noah, Fisher, and Hollis family from Here With Me! (Such a great start to the series if you haven't read it.) While anxiously waiting for book 2, I jumped at the opportunity to listen to this prequel. It's just as fantastic as book 1. I love a good second chance story, and this one didn't disappoint.
The book begins with an introduction to the Hollis family, and a prologue of high school sweethearts, Ayden and Laney, parting ways at 18 years old. You can feel the love and bond between them then, even as their relationship is ending. Chapter 1 picks up 10 years later as they reconnect. From there, the story took me on an emotional rollercoaster from beginning to end. I loved every minute of it. I love the way Brooke drew me into the plot. It flowed so smoothly, made it relatable, and made me feel like this is someone's actual real life love story. The secondary characters are great as well and bring so much to the story.
CJ Bloom and Bradley Ford did an excellent job narrating the story. They truly brought Ayden and Laney to life through their passionate reading. It's rare that audiobooks have dual narrators, so this was a plus. They emphasized the right words and phrases at the right time, making me believe the story was just as engaging to them as it was to me.
Overall, this is a fantastic prequel to kickoff the series. I loved it so much, I'll probably re-read Here With Me so I can get more of the Hollis family before book 2. A great read I'd definitely recommend!!
