About this listen
Svente vampire Ava Sanchez has a difficult decision to make: Should she accept the invitation of the Grand High Master Vampires and join their legion? It will mean leaving behind her brother and her home. It will also mean working with Pagori vampire Salem McCauley. Unlike the majority of vampirekind, she doesn't fear Mr. Tall, Blond, and Dauntless...even if he does have some psychopathic traits. In fact, he has a raw sexuality that tempts her to drop her 'no relationships' rule and give him exactly what he wants from her - everything.
Salem McCauley doesn't like anything cute, or sweet, or cheery. Yet he wants Ava with a desperation that's bordering on obsession. And shockingly, she doesn't look at him like others do - you know, like they fear he'll rip out their spinal cord for fun. Now that the legion will be busy hunting the players involved in the creation of an illegal vampiric brothel, there's no time for pursuing Ava. But Salem makes time, because he never denies himself what he wants, and he always holds tight to what's his. And that's exactly what Ava is, whether she knows it or not: his.

Another brilliant story by Suzanne Wright, love that Has and Salem were about to sort their sh** out. Fun and laugh out loud moments in this story. Read brilliantly between Justine Eyre and P.J. Ochlan. 👍👍👍👌

I did enjoy this book. To a point the narrator sadly made Salem sound bloody awful, he sounded as though he was a dumb idiot who couldn't string two words together And for me bordered on real ideation a real flaky character. But she was funny at times I was not really surprised that Suzanne added in Knox Thorn from the burn book series which I have listened to many times. The story was very much the same as the first book which a previous review had warned all in all of was not as good as the previous books in the series but still worth a listen if you can get past the narration of poor Salem

Good story
The audio performances were really good and I am glad the main characters are still British as I just love the English accent (the Irish one was a bit annoying). Ava was an annoying character but I still liked her, although I preferred her in print rather than the audio version. Good read.

It was a good listen.
Great heroine.
The hero was ok too.
The only issue I had was either there was bit too much sex for my liking or the sex senes we’re not engaging enough as I found myself skipping them a bit after the third one.

A Traumatic Backdrop To A Passionate Romance.
Suzanne Wright has become one of my favourite authors. I love her writing style, the pace she set for her stories and the gripping plot-lines. The characters she creates are complex souls that exhibited all the traits that I crave. The vampire world that she has created for this series feels fresh and new, while still being totally credible.
I couldn't stop listening to this audiobook.
Justine Eyre and P. J. Ochlan took the roles of our protagonists, Ava and Salem. I enjoyed the variation that these actors brought to the duel point of view. Justine's performance encapsulated Ava, whose personality shone through in not only the dialogue but the narrative too. Ochlan's ability to produce the distinctive accents that Salem and the rest of the legion were written with was outstanding. Together, Justine and Ochlan transported me into the story.
While we're talking about the characters. I engage with a story more when the female protagonist exhibits certain personality traits. She needs to be intelligent, resilient, resourceful, self-reliant and have plenty of gumption. We'd met Ava before in the previous book so I already liked her: she ticked all my boxes and then some. Ava also has a great sense of humour, sarkiness and an innate sense of right and wrong that I love. Salem has been part of the series since the beginning but I was nervous that he was too stoic and overprotective for me to see him as a swoon worthy hero. However, Suzanne knew what she was doing and did that on purpose, revealing Salem's layers and hidden guilt through this story, while giving us a true soul-saving romance.
Consumed made me feel so many emotions!
Yes, I did growl like a wild woman at times in frustration and anger. Shedding a tear or two when things got too awful or damn romantic for words. However, the banter and humour throughout this story meant that I often had a soppy smile on my face or was chuckling out loud. ;-)
Consumed was a bloody good book. However, there are explicit sexual scenes, graphic violence, colourful vocabulary and expletives throughout this story. Therefore I'd only recommend it to adults who are not offended by content of this sort. Readers who love stories about kickass heroines and the deserving alphas who fight for their affection. Adult paranormal romance lovers who can read books with gritty story-lines about exploitation and fighting for what's right.

A fabulous Addition to the Series.
This fourth book in the Deep In Your Veins Series by Suzanne Wright is equally as enjoyable as the previous audiobooks in this series. The whole series has been consistent in character depth and quality and this made this book like a visit with the wonderful characters of which I have become so fond and the few new equally wonderful members of The Legion.
There are sexy scenes, battle scenes, humour and emotional scenes all twisted together in a wonderful tapestry of words. This book is exactly what I have come to expect of the writing by Suzanne Wright, she is always consistent in setting, rules and details.
The narration by Justine Eyre, P. J. Ochlan is as wonderful as the previous audiobooks in the series. P.J’s English accent has actually improved. Maybe he became more comfortable with the accent and the Irish accent sounded authentic in comparison to the accents of Irish people that I have known. All in all the consistant character representation and accents throughout the series and the high quality of narration that I have come to expect was present in Consumed. It was a complete pleasure to listen to.

Ok
This book was pretty much a copy of the first just from the point of view of different characters. Same cat and mouse games between a couple and a ridiculous amount of sex scenes which does get pretty boring after a while. Could've been so much better

Good story but
If u like a good fantasy romance with some action it’s good BUT the female narrator has the driest lips when pronouncing words starting and ending in Ps and Bs it becomes very distracting
