About this listen
A hotshot lawyer desperate to start a family. A star baseball player who's been screwed out of his future.
Ty Cunningham comes from old money, but he's never been content to live on privilege. He's the youngest partner in his firm, and the only omega partner. He's worked hard to get where he is, and he's proud of what he's accomplished. One thing is missing - a child to share it with.
Carter Bowman has it all. Drop-dead looks, a fantastic career, and the title of All-Star pro baseball player. The one thing he doesn't have is money sense. When he falls prey to a scam artist posing as a financial adviser, he's close to broke. A buddy suggests he marry for money - Carter hadn't planned to get married until his career was over, but he's desperate.
A contract with Ty seems like the ideal solution, but what happens when feelings and family get in the way?
Sizzling, unmitigated passion. A spark of love. Tough decisions and moral dilemmas…this gay mpreg omegaverse tale has it all.

Married for money!
Ty and Carter are an unlikely couple. A old money lawyer with an ascending career and a poor baseball player. But they match and there’s spark between them. It has a sweet hea.
The narration was too slow and passive for me.

4.5 stars
I liked this book much more than the first book in the series. Although the start of Ty and Carter's relationship is wrong on so many levels, this time there is nothing to dislike in either main character. The marriage occurs well before the love, but otherwise the growth of their love is realistic.
I love how descriptive this story is. Once again, there are dreadful relatives and a beyond awful ex. I particularly enjoyed Keegan, whose behaviour and clothes add light relief to heavier moments.
As usual, it took me a time to get into Guy Veryzer's narration. Some of his reading is a bit "sing-song", but I enjoyed listening to most of his characters' voices.

Very dramatic but it kept my interest
It was a little OTT with drama in my opinion but the over premise was interesting enough to keep listening.
I will probably read the other books in the series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
