Summary

When Toby Haynes witnesses a double murder - and suspects his boss, Tanner Mason, as the perpetrator of the crime - he does the only thing he can think of: He calls in Nathan McBride. CIA special ops veteran McBride and his partner, Harvey Fontana, respond to their friend's plea. As they launch a covert investigation into Mason, the security chief for one of the nation's leading private military contractors, they discover that not everything is as it appears.

Mason and his inner circle are leading a top-secret operation to tackle a wave of crime plaguing the US-Mexican border, and the murder may have been part of their complicated strategy - or part of a more menacing agenda. Soon McBride and Fontana find themselves engaged in a deadly game. With a powerful politician behind it all, stopping Mason could mean joining a secret war - with truly global stakes.

Andrew Peterson thankyou again

Would you listen to Contract to Kill again? Why?

Yes. the Mcbride series have been fantastic. Varried in theme but consistant in quality. I have already re-listened to the previous 4 at least once.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Contract to Kill?

The climax to the final confrontation. Loved this nicely done.

What does Dick Hill bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Dick Hill handles voices well and brings out the tension of a passage.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nate and Holly !!

Any additional comments?

Andrew, more please.

Not a great story

most of this book seems to be explaining settings and locations rather than action and adventure. the final scene is about 1hour of explaining the setting. really struggled with it and if other books are the same I won t bother anymore.

Another excellent book

Only problem is I want the next one in the series, a fast paced book that kept me listening

Very "B" movie sounding

It's hard to put my finger on what annoyed me about this book except that the narrator read in a sing-song style that didn't fit the topic and it sounded like an old movie. I appreciated the author's references to God and faith. And I was glad of the happy ending.

Relentless bloody action

Another great Nathan Mcbride story with non stop grizzly killings and life or death shoot outs. it comes fast and hard but sometimes very tender by way of Nates' relationship with Holly.
