About this listen

Who is the mysterious bloodstained man who stops their coach?

Welcome to Crater Lake, the year six school trip where your first day might just be your last....

Maybe it’s the bloodstained man who tries to stop the coach. Maybe it’s the absence of welcoming staff, but something is definitely not right at Crater Lake Activity Centre.

Then, at night, things get much, much stranger...Lance and his friends, Chets, Katja, Big Mak and Adrianne find themselves in a fight for survival and must work together to defeat a swarm of enemies.

But whatever happens they must never, ever, fall asleep!

You won’t regret buying this book I promise!

Do you ever feel like you want to listen to a book or read a book but all of your choices sound boring ?well I was doubtful too when I saw crater lake but it’s honestly one of the best books I’ve ever listened to .crater lake gives you something to look forward to every day it’s totally worth the price and that’s coming from me and I am very picky with books I 100 percent guarantee that this book will have you hooked from the first chapter . Crater lake will take you to a different world of horror and surprise and it doesn’t give you nightmares ,it’s perfect, as for the narrator ,just as good as the book it’s self.I am 10 years old and I hope this review has been of good use to you.

Amazing

This was first read to me at school but then I listened to it again on audible and because I already knew the plot, i could let myself daydream whilst listening.

Laugh Out Loud Funny

Bought Crater Lake for my 11 year old son who HATES reading. One week on, I have finished it and my son is half way through and loving it (Ok, I was secretly listening during homeschool!) I enjoyed every minute of Lance and his friends' gruesome but hilarious adventure at Crater Lake. The story has plenty of fun and tension, even for kids like mine, who don't enjoy reading, but it also a nice (but not too in-your-face) message for non-Alpha, quirky kids. A fabulous and original adventure with very strong characters and belly laughs. What's not to love?
Laurence Boxhall makes a wonderful job of reading Crater Lake and giving life to the characters. I found his reading a teeeny bit slow, but at x1.2 speed it was perfect.

Not just for young people!

Do you know sometimes when you feel a bit jaded and you want to leave this modern world with all its problems behind, just for a little while. Well I choose this book to help my escapism. It's very entertaining and a fantastic storyline, brought to life by the narrator. Adults everywhere should listen to a book like this from time to time.

Slow , but gets going if you stick with it

Didn’t really think this was for me at first, probably aimed that teenagers. It improved in the middle and ended reasonably well.
Maybe a younger audience would love it.
