About this listen
Eve is catapulted back to a case nine years earlier, when a man the media tagged "The Groom" put the city on edge with a killing spree that took the lives of four women in 15 days. Eve and her partner, Feeney, her friend and mentor, couldn't stop him before he disappeared, only to resurface in other parts of the world to kill and kill again. But now The Groom seems to have come back to where he started.
When it turns out that The Groom's most recent victim was employed by Eve's billionaire husband, Roarke, she brings him onto the case - a move that proves fitting when it becomes chillingly clear that the killer has made it personal. The corpse was washed in products from a store Roarke owns and laid out on a sheet his company manufactures.
With the Groom's monstrous return, Eve is determined to finish him once and for all. Familiar with his methods, she knows that he has already grabbed his next victim. But his sights are set on the biggest challenge of his illustrious career - an abduction that will test his skills and that promises to give him satisfaction as he's never known. Time is running out on another woman's life...and for Eve.

Excellent
I know I rave about JD's books but this one was superb. The Groom is back 9 years ago Eve and Feeney had been on a task force but failed to stop him now he's back and killing again. The Groom engraves on the body how long each of his "partners" lasts this made the tension in the book more real as you go along with Eve and team to try and stop him, as you go along with him as he chooses the next victim.

Very tense and exciting
Any additional comments?
This is an intense book. I love ones where Roark works with Dallas and in this one he is right in there up to his neck. I can't get enough of these books and this was up there among my favourites.

Enjoyable but not a favourite.
AUDIBLE REVIEW 23
Very enjoyable listening to this and I didn't pick up the errors from my eBook, though I wasn’t really listening for them either as I was doing other things. I do have to listen at a faster rate for my pleasure though.
BOOK REVIEW
Bad proofreading spoilt my reading flow.
A killer from Eve and Feeney’s past who they never caught reappears.
Eve is primary this time and has to run a major team to catch him. Feeney struggles with the situation. This massive team includes Roarke, as the women being taken and tortured, are all employees of his.
Mavis and especially Trina play parts in this one.
Brilliant ending all the way, from Eve’s takedown and interaction with Ariel, to a bending of procedure and by utilising certain resources to ensure the killer gets the justice he well deserves.
Once again poor proofreading has allowed silly errors to get through. (He Know. his victims.) being just one such error. There were more. This is jarring when reading as it stops the flow to make you go, what!!!
Loses a star rating due to this being unacceptable for a book in this price range.

Dreadful narration, ridiculous accents/characters
What would have made Creation in Death better?
The narration was so ridiculous with dreadful accents and voices for characters that were so awful they made me laugh out loud! Totally detracted from the story such that I couldn't bear to listen and will request a refund.
What was most disappointing about J. D. Robb’s story?
The narrator.
How could the performance have been better?
Different and better narrator.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Ridicule and disappointment in abundance.
Any additional comments?
Will be asking for a refund, can't get past the first 20 mins.
