From the No.1 Sunday Times bestselling author of Behind Her Eyes, now a Netflix sensation!
WARNING: Will keep you up all night
Lisa tells lies.
Most of them are small white lies intended to make the life of her daughter, Ava, easier.
But her biggest lie of all about to be exposed.
Because Lisa is lying to everyone.
Lisa isn’t who she says she is.
Lisa isn’t even called Lisa at all.
Her real name is Charlotte Nevill and as a child she was convicted of the brutal murder of her half-brother, Daniel.
Someone out there knows the truth. They’re determined to make Lisa pay. And they won’t stop until everything she loves is destroyed.

Gripping
After listening to Behind her Eyes last year, I had to have this book. It was a good story, well told and going in blind (barely a summary and no reviews) allowed me to be surprised at every turn. I wasn’t as mind blown as I was at the end of the previous book, but it was well worth a listen none the less.

Loved it!
Really enjoyed this book, very well read and easy to listen too. Some heart tugging sections (especially of you have kids!) but overall a great thriller with great characters. I have read ‘Behind her eyes’ too but the ending freaked me out a bit/was a bit fat fetched, so found this book much better and believable! Jave 13 minutes to read now. A great author.

Twisty abs compelling
This is an excellent book to listen to on long boring car journeys . Riveting story. Well read with enough tension in the voice; difficult for one person to assume so many characters but well done .

No one does twisty like Sarah Pinborough
I binged this one pretty much in one day as it was so compelling. As ever, with Sarah Pinborough, just when you think you've worked out what's going on, she pulls the rug out from under you and everything you thought you had worked out about these characters turns out to be wrong. It's heartbreaking and upsetting in places but I can't say why without spoilers. Just be aware that Pinborough brings up some truly awful subjects but they are handled sensitively.
I really liked the depiction of female friendships and the thought processes of Ava are all too believable for a 16 year old.
Antonia Beamish does a great job; all the characters are clearly differentiated and believable.

Enjoyable
A little far fetched in places, but overall a good listen.
The police characters were presented as idiots.

Entertaining
The story is told from 3 POVs - Lisa, her daughter Ava, and Lisa's best friend Marilyn. It hooked me right from the start. It is well written and plotted with many twists. Several times I thought I had worked out what was going on only to be proved wrong! It was slightly far fetched in places, but still highly entertaining.

Plot too elaborate
Generally good book and easy to read, I enjoyed it. The only issue for me was that the plot was too elaborate. I can't give examples without giving away the story to those that haven't read it yet.

Slow start
After a slow start it breaks open and becomes intriguing . The final chapters are good

A beautifully written book
You know those books that you can guess the plot within 3 chapters well this isn’t one of them. Just when you think you have it all figured out there’s something new and everything is turned on head. A beautifully written book that will keep you guessing
