About this listen
‘Dead Wrong is that rare thing: a book that is both procedurally accurate whilst brimming with pace. Unputdownable’ M. W. Craven, CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning author of The Puppet Show
The serial killer is behind bars. But the murders are just beginning…
DC Maggie Jamieson's past comes back to haunt her in this dark and gripping serial killer thriller.
Three missing women running out of time…
They were abducted years ago. Notorious serial killer Bill Raven admitted to killing them and was sentenced to life.
The case was closed – at least DC Maggie Jamieson thought it was…
But now one of them has been found, dismembered and dumped in a bin bag in town.
Forensics reveal that she died just two days ago, when Raven was behind bars, so Maggie has a second killer to find.
Because even if the other missing women are still alive, one thing’s for certain: they don’t have long left to live…

"There’s an authenticity to Noelle Holten’s crime novels that the majority of her contemporaries cannot compete with. Dead Wrong is that rare thing: a book that is both procedurally accurate whilst brimming with pace. Unputdownable." (M. W. Craven)
"I absolutely adored this book and used it as my reward for my own chapter count. Only problem was that when I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about it and wanted to just gobble it up and devour it...Highly recommended and an easy five stars from me." (Angela Marsons, best-selling author of the DI Kim Stone series)
"Not only did it live up to the first, it managed to surpass it...The ending leaves you breathlessly out on a ledge. I'll be first in line to read the next one." (M.M. Chouinard, USA Today best-selling author of the Jo Fournier series)

Welcome back Maggie!
Maggie Jamieson is fast finding a place in my heart. She a hard working copper who strives to be a good daughter and sister too. It really niggles me how so many book characters, especially police officers, seem to exist in a vacuum with no friends or family. Bravo to Ms Holten for not taking the easy path to that overdone cliche. I wish I had half of Maggie's self belief. She was determined not to be a sheep, believing the story that Bill Raven was spinning. Her search for the truth was dogged and determined, even when all around her were telling her she was wrong. How can you fail to admire such a woman? The story was well written and full of suspense. I think book 2 may have just surpassed book 1, which means I can't wait for book 3. The only thing I have to say, and I say this about a thousand times a week, if a narrator can't do an accent, then don't do the accent. When I read, I don't read in an accent. Fortunately for us listeners, Ms Holten's writing is strong enough to overpower any narration niggles. This is a series that is going to run and run and I'm most grateful for that. And with any luck, we'll get to see Maggie on the small screen one day. Fingers crossed

Balancing family and work is not easy…
But Maggie has it nailed!
A great listen lots of information to take in, clues, investigation. Really great to follow. No spoilers from me.
Ms Holten and Ms Beresford clearly work so well together to bring us this gritty listen with great imagery.
Thank you
