About this listen

Margot Lewis is the agony aunt for The Cambridge Examiner. Her advice column, Dear Amy, gets all kinds of letters - but none like the one she's just received: 'Dear Amy, I don't know where I am. I've been kidnapped and am being held prisoner by a strange man. I'm afraid he'll kill me. Please help me soon, Bethan Avery.'

Bethan Avery has been missing for nearly two decades. This is surely some cruel hoax. But as more letters arrive, they contain information that was never made public. How is this happening? Answering this question will cost Margot everything....

Great Twist

I loved this book!
I was so happy that the twist came as a surprise as I, for once, really wasn't expecting it.

I didn't expect the twist at all.

I enjoyed the story overall but had to go back to chapter 25 a couple of times as felt I had missed something important. It had a very good unexpected twist but was a bit jumpy which didn't make much sense, still wondering how Beth ended up in the car and back at the house!
wouldn't have wanted to have used my monthly credit but overall ok.

It was ok

Enjoyed the first half but found the second half a chore to get through. By the time I got to the very last chapter, I put off listening to it as I was already quite bored with how the story had developed. Disappointed

Good but could have benefitted from slight pruning

I enjoyed this book. The subject matter was interesting. However at times felt it was trying a little too hard. Too much heavy description stopped it from being as suspense filled as it should have been, but this didn't stop my overall enjoyment.
