Summary

Halloween is coming to North Yorkshire, and the seaside town of Whitby is getting ready for its annual Goth Festival, where Goths of all ages descend on the town for a week of music, costumes, and spooky fun. When one of Liz McLuckie’s friends has a terrifying encounter with the Barghest—Yorkshire’s legendary Dog of Death—it sparks a series of mysterious fatalities in the town. Are supernatural forces at work, or is there another, more human, explanation?

Liz decides to find out, with the help of her motley assortment of friends and Nelson the English bull terrier, the ugliest (and bravest!) dog in Yorkshire....

I really enjoyed this book!

This book was a lot of fun. I binged it in two days. I don't know why but I was expecting it to be a bit more creepier, I don't know why? I really like the characters and the two young lads are brilliant and remind me of my mates children who are hilarious. Jan Durham is a great writer and I can't wait to hear the next book. Danielle Cohen is wonderful as the narrator.

Thoroughly Enjoyable

The second book in this series — and just as good as the first , if not better !
Enjoyed getting to know more about the characters , loving the further description of Whitby too .
It really was a most enjoyable book to listen to — and the ending took me completely by surprise!
Have come straight back to purchase book 3 ( and hoping for more to follow 😊)
