Another great story
This is the second Hannah Weybridge book, and I find I've grown quite fond of the prickly journalist. She's not an easy person to love, being quite introverted and a little stand offish, but now I've finished the 2nd book, I think I can say with confidence we've become friends. Surely that's the art of being a good writer, making the reader feel they have a connection to the main protagonist. The story around Hannah's friend, Liz's murder, is complex and detailed. But it is all explained clearly, each thread being closely examined before being woven into the denouement. This is a great follow up to Dancers in the Wind, and I'm really looking forward to the 3rd book, Songs of Innocence. A series well worth investing in.

Good story but the narrator
Crikey this woman has literally only one way of reading …all sing songy and highly irritating , her diction is over the top and everyone sounds bloody mad ! Struggled through as the story was interesting apart from all the bloody fainting 🙄

Good story strange narration
Really quite a good story but the reader has most of the characters drawing out all the vowels in their speech which is very distracting and annoying

Brilliant
Brilliantly read,such a lovely voice. Excellent storyline & sensitive towards FMG which many fear. Well done author. A brilliant read with many twists & turns.

Repeats
this is a good book performed very well by Joan Walker unfortunately several sentances have been repeated throughout and therefore somewhat spoilt the audible experience

Became tedious
I read and enjoyed the first book in the series but just became bogged down in this one. Found Hannah irritating with her facility for weeping, fainting and vomiting. Surely, surely there won't be any more for the poor woman to endure. She must have some sense of self preservation. I fear so however. I jumped to the end of this one.
Spoilt by an equally irritating narrator who uses rather a drawling and insinuating voice when characters meet and greet.

Good storyline
Enjoyed this but I'm afraid that the narrator drives me mad!!! lovely speaking voice but it starts to annoy you after a while

Narrator
So irritating the way narrator tried to do different voices for characters....all the men sounded sleazy and some women were more than ridiculous.. Really had to stop myself from switching off.
