Fun Listen
I enjoy when monsters are put in a more positive light and not just generic mobs. this was an interesting premise and I quite enjoyed it.

Keep with it
It took me a while to get my head around this as the first dungeon core book I’ve read. It took a while to get into the mechanics and the story swapping viewpoints to the dungeon minions but once I got my head around it I really enjoyed and will definitely read the next one.

A real mixed bag but a brilliant idea.
Disclaimer: I was provided a copy of the book free of charge in exchange for an honest review
I've read a lot of LitRpgs, Gamelit and Dungeon Core books over the last few years, and I e seen lots of different ideas but not one like this before.
The core in this story is comprised of 2 souls merged together, and that's 2 soul identities who do not get on. This leads to a lot of infighting between the two ids and initially it seems they may not be able to overcome their differences bit eventually they do and so their realm (rather than just a dungeon) becomes to take form.
I found the story a little haphazard and there seemed to be a lot of jumps of logic and splintered scenes which could've done with tidying up, and the overall book feels it could do with a trim of maybe 1/8th of it overall length, but I was rarely bored or disappointed in the story so would be interested in a sequel.

A bit of a hidden gem
A tight and compact story, that delves straight into its intent. Deepest Dungeon is a Dungeon Core book focused on development of Kobolds, where the dungeon (and others) can modify their structure to change what they are going to throw them at. Where the story is of particular interest is that our Isekaied MC is forged into a dungeon core with a villainous sorcerer, after an incident during the post-life cycle. This tends to lead to interesting back and forths between the two, where both learn about the others world.
Overall a solid inclusion to the genre.

reasonably well done story, well balanced
Decent story and good writing, enough difference between this and other "core" books to make it interesting.
Sadly the narrator has a tendancy to drone, making it harder to keep focussed on the book.

One of the more interesting dungeon core stories
At my request I was given a review copy of this book.
Genre: dungeon Core
Premise:
Mark is suddenly teleported to a world of magic. With his soul fused to a cruelly efficient sorcerer, they find themselves sharing existence as a dungeon core. A fate they are both eager to escape. But first they must work with the tools they have and grow their dungeon.
Strengths:
- The humour. The clashing of the two wills and the perspectives of their minions bring a fresh and fun aspect to dungeon core for me.
- The pacing. The growth feels natural and exciting.
- The narration. The story is told in an entertaining and engaging way and I finished it in 2 sittings.
Weaknesses:
- We get a taste of the personality of the main minions which leaves me craving even more.
