Summary
Jon Culshaw reads this classic novelisation of Doctor Who's special 20th-anniversary TV adventure, featuring the Doctor in each of his first five incarnations.
Each one has been removed from his time-stream and - with one unfortunate exception - brought to the Death Zone on Gallifrey. There, they - along with an array of their loyal former companions - encounter numerous deadly obstacles including Daleks, Cybermen, Yeti, the Master and a fiendish set of puzzles. Who is the ultimate enemy they must all unite to defeat?
Based on Terrance Dicks's epic TV adventure, first broadcast in 1983, The Five Doctors offers listeners a chance to turn the clock back and meet some old friends - and some old enemies.

Nostalgic bliss...
I have very fond memories reading this as a child, specifically between films (with a torch 😅), at a ABC cinema Star Trek movie marathon, munching on egg sandwiches. Ha ha context is everything! This is a lovely reading by Jon Culshaw - getting all the Doctors just right, and bringing a lovely hint of menace to both The Master and Borusa. Nick Briggs does a sterling job as always on Dalek/Cyberman duties, and the sound effects and atmosphere are just right. If you are in need of a nostalgic hit this is perfect. 10/10

Culshaw is excellent in this faithful recreation
Very enjoyable. Faithfully recreating the atmosphere of the story, Jon Culshaw's reading is excellent, his vocals capturing the performances of the leads, with particularly fine turns as Troughton and Pertwee Doctors.

AN AMAZING WORK OF ART!!!
In one series, there can be no mistakes. In one series, there is no mistakes. This is the way with Doctor who. The 59 year old show that never fails to supply. This however exeeds even the usual expectations. Starting in a beautiful, peaceful environment it instantly becomes more sinister with the obduction of William Hartnell's Doctor leading back to a huge obelisk. The second notable seen pictures Patrick Troughton's Doctor with the character now almost regular now, the Brigaider having a nice walk before the reappearance of the mysterious obelisk... If I was to contemplate on All the aspects of the piece I would die of happiness but I must at leest see the ending. Picturing moralty, the greedy Borusa being imprisoned and the Doctor again running away with a blue box...This is a selection of minutes to be remembered
Also, the contents of the Novel brings in earlier fans of the three doctors which sported a similar title.

Top Notch
Excellent story, bringing the actual televised story in quite remarkable breath-taking accuracy. The way Jon Culshaw is able to reproduce the voices is spine tingling and accurate. Even the female characters, although obviously in man's voice - the characteristics of the original, eg Sara Jane Smith are brilliantly done. fantastic story too.
