About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
A courageous heroine trapped in the distant past is determined to return to her own time-without changing the shape of the world forever - as the New York Times bestselling Dragonlance series continues in the thrilling sequel to Dragons of Deceit.
A clash of powerful magical forces sets off the Graygem of Gargath, sending Destina and her companions deeper into the past than she intended - to the age of Huma Dragonsbane and the Third Dragon War. Now, after the Device of Time Journeying shatters, they must find another way back to their own era, before the Graygem alters history irrevocably and the Third Dragon War ends in defeat for the forces of good.
With the battle raging on, Destina tries desperately to make amends and prevent disaster. Raistlin and Sturm encounter their heroes, Huma and Magius, and must reconcile the myths with the men. Meanwhile, Tasslehoff-shocked that the Knights of Solamnia have never heard of dragonlances-sets out to find the famed weapons.
But as the forces of the Dark Queen close in on the High Clerist's Tower, Destina's party must return to their own timeline together - or not at all.

Very enjoyable
I've read almost all of Margaret and Tracy's books this one doesn't disappoint. At first I didn't like the fact that there is time travel in a fantasy, But I quickly got sucked in by the amazing story telling. The Narrator is excellent too.
Good: I love all the references to older books. So many plot changes which make it unpredictable. A few moments I shed a tear. Tas was much better in this one. In the previous book I thought he was annoying and his character had become stupid. Great ending and I'm looking forward to the next instalment.
A few gripes: Time travel. Raislin is a little too good, I like this but at the same time I kept thinking he would never do this or that and refers to the group as his friends several times. Tas looks dark skinned on the cover. Have they changed him?
Anyway fantastic. defo 5 stars

Enjoyable rehash of old favourites
was slightly disappointed by the first installment of the new trilogy. basically felt a retelling of Legends combined with nostalgia for Chronicles.
However. second installment has picked up the pace and installed some actual jeopardy. and although not sure the final chapter makes any sense still looking forward to the final installment with hopefully a little less Tas!
one final gripe. why are voice artists never given direction as how to pronounce names. especially with s whole cannon of work such as Dragonlance?
