About this listen
Pediatric resident Dr. Dani Russell is focused on her career, and there's no room for anything else since her last relationship crashed and burned. She's seen as standoffish and cold to everyone except her patients and her best friend, Rick. That's just fine with her.
Detective Rebecca Wells, newly appointed to Atlanta's Juvenile Missing Person Unit, is a woman in a state of flux and on a mission to fix her unsatisfying personal life. That means reaching out to her ex, Dani, to make amends. But after sizing up the once warm, friendly woman she loved, Rebecca can't believe how unrecognizable she now is or how hurt she is.
Is it too late for them? Has too much time passed to make things right?
Contains mature themes.

I hope this isn't the last
This is a fourth in the cops and docs series by KD Williamson. I was not disappointed. Story takes you through the on and off relationship of Dr Dani Russel a Resident Paediatrician and Detective Rebecca Wells who has been assigned to the Missing Persons Unit.
I love this series because KD gives both characters their own back story and you can see how their respective lives effect both their professional and personal lives. More please

Brilliant
I have enjoyed the Author and loved her storylines and it makes the experience even better by Abby's narration. The best narrator out there and I feel she brought life to the wonderful characters that was so perfectly penned.

Hmmm.
I usually love kd. But this one just didn't click for me. The writing still outstanding. But the characters were very weak compared to other books. The reason for the mains to break up doesn't seem to be more than weak issues. The total switching of characteristics between the leads is never fully believable. And as for the Jake character i wanted to throw him out. He doesn't come across at all as a best friend, more a know it all teenage child, totally in my opinion unlikeable and more concerned with himself. At one point I actually cringed at how he manipulated Dani into feeling guilty, because she's falling apart. Unsure what author was doing there, as next scene kd, was trying make him likeable again. Abby as narrator as always rocks it, but even she sounded tired out at some points with all the repeating of issues and no, and whys. Sadly A story that doesn't really go anywhere i'm afraid and by the end i was just glad it was over. The 3 stars are because even a bad story and character doesn't hide the talent of this author and every great one can have a bad day.
