About this listen

The harder we try to change, the deeper in the hole we get. We find a new partner but have the same old fights. We strive for an ever bigger paycheck but end up broke at a higher income bracket. This is what happens when the basic principle of life - the law of emergence - is disrupted, stopping you from knowing that you are the perfect you. There is not a part of you from beginning to end that isn't exactly what you should be.

Emergence provides the foundation to reengage with this ancient principle. In this seven-stage framework, spiritual life coach Derek Rydall shows that we aren't lacking anything; everything we need to fulfill our full potential is already inside us. Backed by an ancient truth that has largely been lost, Rydall changes the conversation around how to achieve your potential by showing you how to activate the genius already in you and empower your purpose in life.

overall a great book full of love

overall this is a great book full of love and wisdom.
story got 4 starts becuase the beginning was too hippy for me and also full of "facts" that just weren't true.
basically the process of emergence is NLP, he just doesnt call it this way. combines timeline therapy and some basic NLP skills, and stoic philosophy, nevertheless, the way the story and excercises go is perfect and the tone it is conveyed in is just full of love and truly gives a liberating feeling.
I definitely recommend giving it a go, it is better than most self help books.
enjoy!

The Law of Emergence- Pulling from within

Where does Emergence rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The best book ever- Number 1 in my list so far!

What did you like best about this story?

He teaches self reliance and self dependence, which means you can only draw to you what you already have. The book tells you not to attract things but to become that which you seek.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wanted to listen in one setting, but it is long. This was not a problem as the author is captivating so it was easy to listen to.

Any additional comments?

Fantastic concept that works if you apply it- wonderful! Thank you Derek!

it's all in there, you just have to find it!

this is an interesting book but waffles a bit. I would have preferred more tips that I could implement in my life to get me started. I'm sure it's all in there but I'll have to read it again!

I can’t recommend highly enough, this is transformational. Don’t doubt it, get it. I’m now getting the hard copy too for further study.

A truly inspiring book

Absolutely loved this book, I've bought the hard copy too so I can underline and highlight key points and keep referring back. I love Derek's emergence theory, I highly recommend this book to anyone who's looking for more, who's frustrated in trying and failing to get to the next level. It's narrated by Derek too and is great to listen to.

Pseudoscience

I gave it two stars rather than one as I only listened to the first 30 min, but in that time it became clear that the author is content to make vague sweeping statements with no regard for a listener who may be interested in logic and science.
