Summary
When the world falls, who will survive?
The Complete Bestselling Post-Apocalyptic Zombie Series Now Bundled in a Single Audiobook!
Overview From Book 1:
In a single moment, everything changes. Hundreds of thousands of people suddenly collapse, leaving their friends and loved ones behind, terrified and confused.
Moments later, the fallen rise, and the survivors become the hunted.
Follow three intertwining stories through the apocalypse.
Will Kessler works a dead-end warehouse job in Tennessee, driving a forklift and unloading shipping containers. When he wakes up from a nap during his lunch break, he finds most of his co-workers have mutated into monsters, and they have turned the 50,000 square foot building into a war zone, murdering any other survivors. Alone and weaponless, Will must fight through the undead horde to secure the building and answer one question: Is he truly alone?
In Texas, Gabriel Alexander boards a plane, thinking he is heading back to his wife and daughter in Washington D.C. After his flight takes off, several passengers fall suddenly ill, sending the cabin into a panic. Soon, the sick passengers go on a rampage, attacking others on the plane, including the pilot. And with no one to fly the plane, it dives toward the ground, taking Gabriel and the start of the apocalypse with it.
Jessica Davies runs the front desk of a hotel in the North Carolina mountains. It seems like another dull day of checking tourists into their rooms when she receives a call from a guest to bring them some aspirin. The elevator door opens, forcing Jessica into a hell she could’ve never imagined.

Something a little different
Great series, just the eight length in my opinion. It was nice to not worry about the author trying to stretch it out.
I really enjoyed the fact the main characters where just average Joe's and the struggle of trying to survive felt real and you didn't have to think every fight or encounter was going to be one sided.

Lacking everything
Very difficult to get through.
Lacks any kind of character development, so you don't really care if someone lives or dies and you're not invested their fate. Plus none of the protagonists bring anything to the table in terms of skills or abilities. Also most of the characters from the main group just irritate me.
The plot is obvious and predictable so there are no real surprises. You can tell exactly how a scenario is going to play out right from the very beginning as there is zero subtlety or nuance.
The writing is too basic, there are no details about the world or anything in it making it hard to visualise anything. It's just a none stop droning of stuff that is happening, making it very hard to maintain focus.
Lacks any kind of excitement, and the few exciting things that do actually happen are over with very quickly. In fact there is very little emotion in it overall. It's just stuff that happened to a bunch of people.
Not bad if this is the authors first time writing, but definite room for improvement.

so boring
boring boring boring - this book is so bad, I don't often leave reviews but felt I had to in this case - this book is boring the storyline is weaker than a vicars handshake, the characters are plastic, the narrative is cringingly predictable- without doubt the worst book I have ever come into contact with.

Boring
Can’t put my finger in why exactly, but it’s quite a boring listen. I don’t feel connected to any of the characters. Couldn’t even finish the first book.

Worst thing I've ever listened to
It's soft core Rapture porn.
The female characters spend the entire series bursting into tears and being jealous of each other, whilst the male characters don't even qualify as two dimensional.
I stuck with it's 37 hours of banal tedium, because I'd bought it and needed to shift many tons of rubble, so headphones on, I persevered. :)
