About this listen
One box set. Four Books. A must-listen!
How will you survive when the dead rise?
Jack Jupiter knows zombies. He's written about them for years. But no amount of writing can prepare him for the end of the world.
Because these zombies aren't in Jack's head. No, these zombies are real.
Jack Zombie is a thrilling post-apocalyptic series that follows a tight-knit group of people as they travel the zombie-ridden wasteland once known as the United States. As you follow Jack and his family, you'll soon discover that nothing can rival a human's will to survive.
This collection of the first four books in the series—Dead Haven, Dead Hope, Dead Nation, and Dead Coast—will have your heart pounding!

Uninspired.
This brings nothing new to the genre. You have heard it all before. The authors grasp of language is sub par. Without knowing anything about the author, the story appears to be written by someone young and unexperienced. The narration is monotone and doesn't help the mediocre story.

Love these characters, the quick wit, I cried when the big man died, great story!
Why kill off mother and Herb... Mother could've been a brilliant supernatural avenue to follow and maybe Herb connecting to her in some way.... After Norm, Herb is my favourite character... Jack is too much " oh Darlene, need to find Darlene, Darlene, Darlene!!!" ahhh she is a whiner and

Poor characters, poor story, didn't finish
Dreadful 1-dimensional characters, who don't have any meaningful interaction and just keep plodding forward with inadequate weapons, no food or supplies, no map or compass or directions sure that they will find Eden "up ahead". They take no precautions even against dangers they are warned off, and don't need to, because everyone else is stupid and is easily defeated by them. There's no suspense, no conflict, no reason to read this. And the minor characters just drop dead or apologise to the main characters who rob them, and beg them to take all their possessions, leaving them with nothing. The main character is smug, self-centred and dislikeable. The only thing we learn about his girlfriend is that she lost her sister and mom, but that's okay, because she's hot and really into Jack, the main character. Jack's brother Norman was in the army or something, and learned how to fire guns but likes to drink a lot. And Jack likes alcohol because he's cool. There's a safe place called Eden, they have no idea where it is, so they decide to go to Florida to find it. They're warned that if's run by a bad guy with a small army but they'll go there anyway and figure it out. Plus they've only got 2 guns and a knife.
A 12-year old could have written a better story. And the narrator is just so awful. I read the first book separately for free but made the mistake of buying this omnibus edition, starting at book 2. I gave up after a few chapters but can't return it since I started at book 2. Do yourself a favour and read something else with realistic characters and a story line.

A complete waste of time and money
I listened. I waited. For 1.5 books of the set I kept thinking” it’ll get get better?? It will spark up” it didn’t. I found myself wishing the “hero” would get eaten. £7.99 for a story with no real worth or direction. I urge you NOT to waste your money. At least I know why Darlene left him
