About this listen
The fourth and final part of the Murderbot Diaries series that began with All Systems Red.
Murderbot wasn't programmed to care. So its decision to help the only human who ever showed it respect must be a system glitch, right?
Having traveled the width of the galaxy to unearth details of its own murderous transgressions, as well as those of the GrayCris Corporation, Murderbot is heading home to help Dr. Mensah - its former owner (protector? friend?) - submit evidence that could prevent GrayCris from destroying more colonists in its never-ending quest for profit.
But who's going to believe a SecUnit gone rogue? And what will become of it when it's caught?

Excellence!
I have only one gripe with this series: they are short!
The story - the intrigue, the mystery, the characters , the main character`s development, the pacing, the action ... all excellent.
Any metaphysical and philosophical musings and insights into the "human condition" are the icing on the top of a very tasty cake. Well, perhaps muffin is the better comparison since, as I say, these stories are a bit on the small side. But so packed with goodness that I do not begrudge the cost. Excellent entertainment value, though it leaves me wanting more at the end of every instalment.

Excellent
Just like the previous books, it's an excellent, fact paced, action packed page turner. Really enjoyed!

Now very much a fan
Four novellas in and I can honestly say I'm a fan. A committed fan.
If these stories were simply segments of space opera (like those Murderbot watches so avidly), I'd be much less interested. The fight sequences in this novella are great, but again, without Murderbot's internal monologue, they'd be so much wordage. That monologue is absolutely the making of this series. Those emotions which keep encroaching on a sec unit's functionality, the increasing attachment it feels for various humans, and just how much entertainment vids mean, all contribute to a persona we can identify with.

Great!
I had a complex emotional response. I enjoyed this so much, I laughed out and received a few odd looks because of it, too. Then wondered what Murderbot would think about that.

Exit Strategy
A lively and fun tale of discovery for Murder Bot. The first 4 books were on a free offer but to be honest I will be buying the remainder of the series. Couldn't put them down. The are awesome.

good ending
Story was great as expected, though as usual it was too short a story for the price, given he length and cost i'd really expect to be charged the same for all 4 as a bundle. If you do like murderbot I suspect you'll get it anyway. Narration was ok, nothing bad however nothing spectacular. I prefer more expression and depth of feeling in performance, I could have fallen asleep to the relaxed mellow performance.

LOVE this series!
Murderbot stories never disappoint and the narrator of the audiobooks is excellent- the generally sarcastic inflection in the Murderbot’s narration is perfect.

great end to what felt like the first arc
the first 4 novellas really felt like a single book split in 4 , but I enjoyed reading them in smaller bursts , the story is excellent. it moves along at a really nice pace and I'm excited to continue

great end to the quartet of novellas
Perhaps my favourite out of the four novellas, we see Murderbot coming full circle to aid his 'humans.'
We head straight into Murderbot espionage/infiltration plot, some great dynamics in a reunion with his humans from book one, and then a fantastic chase and battle sequence to go through. Some clever uses of his non-combat hacking abilities, and finishing with a great ending to the quadrology of novellas.
Murderbot is a great character, a quirky near autistic persona who wants little more than time to watch his soaps. Yet we see that he does want more, some purpose to his new found freedom, and a sense of justice against cynical corporations. Great stuff: I'll go onto read the full size book soon.

Good to the very end
I am torn by these stories because although highly entertaining and enjoyable I feel the publishers should have released the Murderbot Diaries as one book and not dragged it out making it very expensive for what is basically a single novel, I had to use 4 Audible credits to purchase what is an average length audiobook, that being said the story itself was great and I hope the author writes more stories set in this universe
