Can you live a lie?
It’s a ghost town, this place that haunts me, the one that made me. It’s clear to me that I’ll never outgrow Triple Falls or outlive the time I spent here.
I can still feel them all, my boys of summer. Even when I'd sensed the danger, I gave in. I didn’t heed a single warning. I let my sickness and my love both rule and ruin me. I played my part, eyes wide open, tempting fate until it delivered. There was never going to be an escape.
All of us are to blame for what happened. All of us are serving our own sentences. We were careless and reckless, thinking our youth made us indestructible, exempt from our sins, and it cost us all. I’m done pretending I didn’t leave the largest part of me between these hills and valleys, between the sea of trees that hold my secrets. It’s the reason I’m back. To make peace with my fate. And if I can’t grieve enough to cure myself in my time here, I’ll remain sick. That will be my curse.
But it’s time to confess...to myself more so than any other, that I’d hindered my chances because of the way I was built, and because of the men who built me.
At this point, I just want to make peace with who I am, no matter what ending I get. Because I can no longer live a lie.

Ooh my heart!!
My heart ached so much! My emotions with this second one was not ready. Joe&Maxine did amazing and pulled on my heart strings. I can't wait for the next one.

Destroyed me
Wow these narrators have literally brought these characters to life for me and its a whole new level than reading, the depth of this book has always had me in bits buy to hear it omg destroyed is the only word i can use, ive sobbed from chapter 25 onwards im an emotional wreck 😢 but it was amazing but hearing " we love rainy days dont we baby" omg 😭😭😭😭😭 i just cant ......AMAZING JOB

Amazing
Wow, what a ride. Even more than the first book, this book was an emotional Rollercoaster. Can't wait for the third to be available on audible, absolutely loved the performance. Excuse me while I go wallow in my book hangover.

AMAZING!!!!!
I have read this book before and I loved it then, but listening to it just gave it a different air. Both the narrators were amazing and did a fabulous job bringing this book to life. Just brilliant Thank you Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden for the amazing performances and Thank you Kate Stewart for the amazing story 👏👌

Holy shoot, man was this book So heartbreaking, I think I cried the whole time. 😢 this one was a Rollercoaster of emotions, but so damn good. There was happy tears, sad, and tears for the people that was lost. Man even written this is making me emotional, but I do have to say this is a great series, I still have one more book to go but damn once you start you don't want to stop, you want to keep reading because you want to know whats going to happen next.
