About this listen
From New York Times best seller, Pepper Winters, comes the second book in Kas and Gem’s twisted romance.
A valley full of secrets.
A history full of nightmares.
A man who cannot be saved.
And a woman who holds his very life in her hands. Strange how the villain of a story can so easily become the victim. Utter lunacy to think the captive might now become the caregiver.
Gemma has a decision to make. Her life or his. Follow her heart, even when it’s screaming at her to run? Or turn her back on the man who could become her everything?

What a rollercoaster
This picks up right where book 1 left off, and as such I can't say much about it, but this was an emotionally terrifying book. While Gemma still isn't my favourite character, it's understandable that her emotions twist and turn the way they do as she peels more of Kassen's layers and trauma back. This gave me so much anxiety I'm both upset that I don't immediately have book 3 and and glad because I think I need a minute to process everything that happened here. Make sure you check your triggers because PW doesn't hesitate to go there and go there often. I volunteered to listen to a complimentary copy of this. My review has not been biased in any way. All opinions are my own.

OK What😱
I was severely pissed off at the end of book one, not knowing that there were more books to follow. Kas is growing on me.
Before you judge Gemma for being a weak female lead, think about the circumstances surrounding Kas.
It's dark and may have triggers but there's so much depth to it as the trilogy progresses.
In Book two we go more into detail of what exactly happened to Kas and his fable family and why he stayed.
I love that he was so honest with Gemma in this one... And my oh my his words... Gahh!
The ending left me at the edge of my seat... Cannot wait for book three and the rest of the fable series.
Once again, perfect narration by Tom and Charley

Dark and Twisted!
This is the second part in the Fable of Happiness Trilogy. The story continues where the first book left off. I liked the twists and turns in the story. This dark and passionate story is original, and intriguing. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listening to the third installment in the trilogy.
