About this listen
A terrifyingly gripping thriller of East End violence and corruption.
Eleven years ago Marie Carter was convicted of killing her two best friends. And she's paid the price. Now she is being released from prison. It's time to go home. But life has moved on, and Marie has nowhere to go. Her parents have disowned her; her friends have abandoned her; even her kids don't want to know.
But some people out there are watching her, following her every move - they know that Marie Carter wants retribution.

Martina Cole at her best
I am a big fan of Martina Cole, and when her audio books are read by the wonderful Annie Aldington, what can I say, perfection.
This is a book with lots of twists and turns. It really does bring home how young girls lives can be manipulated by bad people, and how drugs can ruin lives and getting with the wrong people.
How parents can also ruin a child's life and how their attitude to a child can have a huge impact.
I didn't want to stop listening to this book.
In my opinion, Martina's best book ever to date.
