I loved it

Great YA Book
Found out about it in a Zoella favourites video. Gemma Whelan was great at narrating but when Chris, Frank and Lynois and any other male characters it was different male narators and It was quite h to follow who was speaking!

Finding Audrey

Absolutely loved it, written from the perspective of a young girl struggling with anxiety issues. She and her family are going through a tough time with her own needs, the effect it's having on those around her plus her family's own problems. They are a likeable bunch of characters who at times had me in fits of laughter as well as tears ....... it's also got alot of helpful insights into dealing with mental health in adolescents.

What it's like to have anxiety

This books let's you sit in the head of someone with an anxiety disorder. Kinsella makes her characters so relatable that you almost forget you aren't them, you mesh with the main character as the story progresses. The story is excellently and sympathetically told, I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a better understanding of anxiety as an illness and everyone who wants a good, positive story.

Really really good

Really lovely well thought out story. Believable characters with funny and thoughtful insight into family life. Audrey could perhaps have been a bit older to hold the story up better, but, loved it.

Tender

We find Audrey recovering from some kind of breakdown for a reason we know not.

It’s a lovely story told from Audrey’s point of view. It’s tender, it’s painful, it’s ultimately optimistic.

I liked the narration a lot, especially the occasional “theatrical” scenes where there are more readers for different characters.

Not a typical Sophie Kinsella. I recommend!
