About this listen
The final installment in the Timekeeper trilogy
The crew of the Prometheus is intent on taking down the world's clock towers so that time can run freely. Now captives, Colton, Daphne, and the others have a stark choice: join the Prometheus' cause or fight back in any small way they can and face the consequences. But Zavier, leader of the terrorists, has a bigger plan - to bring back the lost god of time.
As new threats emerge, loyalties must shift. No matter where the Prometheus goes - Prague, Austria, India - nowhere is safe, and every second ticks closer toward the 11th hour. Walking the line between villainy and heroism, each will have to choose what's most important: saving those you love at the expense of the many, or making impossible sacrifices for the sake of a better world.

Had me in tears
A satisfying end to a brilliant trilogy. The last few chapters had me in tears and was beautiful to listen to. These 2 boys have firmly lodged themselves in my heart.

Would give 6 stars if I could
I had to edit my original review as it didn't do justice. This whole series was an emotional rollercoaster, going from highs to lows back to highs, heart wrenching at times. I have been thinking about this book for days after finishing it, to the point where I am on the verge of starting them again just to hear the story of Danny and Colton one more time. The author managed to express the feelings of the characters perfectly, I had been close to tears multile times during the 3 books and at the end was basically sobbing to myself at work - NO SPOILERS - you'll have to give it a go yourself, you won't be disappointed. The books were made even better by Gary Furlong who, yet again, has not failed to bring the story and characters to life.
6 stars - Loved it

Very confusing end to the series
I have loved this series and it's characters. Unfortunately, this last book became so confusing to follow in the last third of it that I had to rewind repeatedly to try and work out what was going on. Obviously this completely ruined the flow and enjoyment of the story and made me 'zone out' which only made the problem worse.
Had it kept going as smoothly as the first two books, it would have been another 5 star review.
The narrator was excellent and really brought the characters to life.

I’m sorry it ended
In the last book a lot is happening. The story drew me in, so I listened as much as possible. The voice actor has a great voice, and gives everyone his own voice. The whole series is definitely one of my favorites!

love story of time
the final book I wish there was more but with the ups and downs of this set of book always good to have a happy ending, as with the other two book brilliant story line and really well narrated.

Loved the steamy passion, however
The conclusion to Tara Sim's Timekeeper series, "Firestarter," for me was frustrating, but I stuck with the narrative in hopes of a happy ending.
The introduction of new antagonists in the form of awful evil characters heightened my exasperation, compounded by my preexisting disdain for the Prometheus crew. This motley group of characters, whom I struggled to connect with, consistently made choices that seemed to defy logic and common sense. The narrative echoed with the reverberations of their seemingly unintelligent decisions—empowering adversaries and squandering opportunities to eliminate threats in the first instance.
A disconcerting aspect was the inconsistent emotional depth portrayed in the characters' responses to pivotal moments. Some deaths, arguably significant, lacked the emotional gravitas they deserved, while others were engulfed in what felt like an overdose of melodrama. This imbalance further disrupted the narrative flow, leaving me grappling with a sense of detachment from the characters' experiences.
My disappointment with the second and third books in the series lingered, as they seemed to prolong the overarching narrative, pushing the boundaries of endurance just to arrive at the anticipated happy conclusion. Despite this, amid the narrative tumult, the bright spots emerged in the form of the steamy love scenes between Colton and Danny. The depiction of their love was not merely a subplot but a visceral exploration of desire, tenderness, and the unspoken language that binds two souls. The chemistry between Danny and Colton ignited the pages, leaving an indelible imprint on the narrative landscape. The vivid portrayal of juicy kissing created a sensory experience that resonated with authenticity, capturing the essence of the characters' desires. Each kiss became a crescendo, a culmination of emotions that ebbed and flowed with the rhythm of the narrative. It was more than a mere act; it was a celebration of intimacy, a testament to the strength of their bond in the face of adversity.
The exploration of tactile sensations added an extra layer of depth to these love scenes. The tender stroking and caressing between Danny and Colton became a metaphorical dance, a choreography of passion that mirrored the intricacies of their relationship. Through each touch I could sense the soft heat that bound these characters together.
These steamy interludes were not mere diversions but integral threads that wove through the larger narrative. They defined the characters' love not solely through passion but through a profound understanding of each other's vulnerabilities, fears, and hopes. Through the lens of their needy kisses and tender strokes, Danny and Colton's love emerged as a beacon of light, navigating the shadows that threatened to engulf them, and ultimately contributing to the emotional richness of the story.
