Summary
Equine veterinary technician Walter Watson was working in a prestigious practice in Colts Neck, New Jersey when he makes a terrible discovery. His boss, famed equine surgeon Dr. John Hansen, is involved with a group of men committing a multimillion-dollar fraud killing racehorses in order to collect insurance money. Just before Walter can expose the scam, he is murdered. However, he is reincarnated as a thoroughbred racehorse colt.
A memory thrashes its way to the surface, torturing him, refusing to let him rest—the knowledge that he once was a man. He knows he must expose the crimes that haunt him as he enters training and racing in pursuit of men’s fortunes. He will not be alone in his quest. Merlin, a black barn cat who was once a homicide detective, will see to that. He is also assisted by famous animal psychic Sally Andrews and her private investigator friend Chris Mackenzie.

Brilliant!
This is a brilliant listen, refreshingly different. After a murder the victim is reincarnated as a horse, From his foaling he knows he is different, being able to talk to other animals and understand his carers conversations. After being sold as a yearling he goes in to traing as a racehorse and with the help of a cat, a reincarnated police officer he also investigates his own murder and a big insurance fraud. Narration is superb bringing all the animals and story to life. Highly recommended.

thriller
I enjoyed the narration of E.W. Jenner
I loved this book, its a mix of thriller, mystery and suspense and supernational. We have a veterinary technician Walter Watson , who was murdered and now is a how can say it, is a racehorse colt. , who is having flashbacks of him being ,torturing him, when he was a man. He needs to find those that killed him and the race horses. Merlin, a black barn cat who was once a homicide detective, is willing to help. He is also assisted by famous animal psychic Sally Andrews and her private investigator friend Chris Mackenzie.
