Summary
Nick and Lesley Albert yearn to leave the noise, stress, and pollution of modern Britain and move to the countryside, where the living is good, the air sweet, with space for their dogs to run free. Suddenly out of work and soon to be homeless, they set off in search of a new life in Ireland, a country they had never visited. As their adventure began to unfold, not everything went according to plan. If finding their dream house was difficult, buying it seemed almost impossible. How would they cope with banks that didn’t want customers, builders who didn’t need work, or the complex issue of where to buy some chickens?

Omgoodness I have finished this treasure in 2 days! I have laughed, cried and been inspired...thank goodness there are sequels! A fantastic story fuelling my longing to revisit Ireland where I spent many happy months in my very early 20s .... you have captured the essence of Ireland beautifully . Lovely memoir brilliantly narrated
I’ve read all books in this series so far. Nick Albert tells us about his life moving to & living in rural Ireland - this audiobook version did not disappoint - highly recommended.

MISLEADING TITLE
I was reluctant to down load this book, but with the knowledge That I can return it and I am glad I did. It turned out to very interesting, with humour and drama. I made a special effort to read/ listen since I had already listened to book 3 . I wanted to know why Nick made the dramatic change?

Wonderful Story and Great Narration
This is such a well-written story and totally engaging. It has the “feel-good” factor, which I found refreshing. I was apprehensive at first as this was my first Audiobook, but I enjoyed being read to as I could multi-task! I listened at every opportunity as I was eager to know what happened next.
Through the excellent narration (very entertaining - so many different voices) I really feel that I know Nick and Lesley and have a clear picture in my mind of their daughter, dogs, chickens, house and surroundings; as well as the countryside. I’ve never been to Ireland, but I want to go and see for myself - it sounds idyllic.
Now I’ve finished; what happens in the next book? I hope volume 2 will be released soon - I can’t wait.

The big move to Ireland
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Andy Stevenson does a great job of narrating, bringing to life the characters and adventures of Nick and his wife as they make a life changing decision to move to Ireland. I have a strong picture in my mind’s eye of where they now live and the dogs that share their rural home.
I can’t wait to hear more.

Such an engaging memoir!
I loved this book. It's such a wholesome and uplifting memoir. Nick Albert is such a brilliant writer and the narration by Andy Stevenson really brings the book to life. I was so invested in Nick's story that I rushed to buy the second book. He feels like an old friend!
