Summary
Disgraced former detective Mike Humber gets off a train in the bleak autumn countryside, his mind haunted by a dark past.
A new job awaits. Huntington House needs a live-in security guard to prevent access during an inheritance dispute.

Loved the book which didn’t surprise me at all, there is not one book I have read of R R Haywood’s that I haven’t loved & I’ve read them all!
This man is a writing genius! (obviously the undead is my fav & I never ever want that series to come to an end) but looking forward to all his future books! 🥰

Mike...The man!!
Absolutely loved this book! Mike is an awesome character, hoping we hear more from him.
Twists and turns galore with an epic twist at the end.

Love love love this story! Gethin is perfect as Mike Humber. I was immersed from the first chapter and couldn’t stop listening. Stayed up almost all night to finish it
